"Selling sex" doesn't mean just selling sex as a prostitute. Maybe using sex to sell is a better way to say it.
I don't think so, but I know some Christians who would agree with you. There are Christians who believe that Christians should not participate in modeling or beauty pageants. But then again, there are Christians who believe that Christians should not be bodybuilders, or police officers, or soldiers, or judges. I don't agree, and I don't see Biblical basis for any of this.
Miss Cali. is not a hypocrite for doing any of this if she doesn't believe that it is a sin and if she sees no Biblical basis for it.
And yes, a person that teaches or professes a moral course of action but yet continually does the opposite is by definition a hypocrite whether its judging a person or not.
Actually, the word hypocrite comes from the Greek word for "actor." If a person claims to be a Christian, and "pretends" to be a Christian, knowing that he/she is not a Christian, then he/she is a hypocrite.
Likewise, if a person teaches or professes a moral course of action, not really believing in such and fully knowing that he/she wouldn't even attemp to follow that moral course of action, then he/she is a hypocrite.
But a person who teaches or professes a moral course of action is NOT a hypocrite IF he/she truly believes in that moral course of action and attempts to follow it, no matter how many times he/she fails.
I know many parents who chose not to go to college or dropped out of college, only to regret it later in life. They now tell their children that they must go to college. Are those parents hypocrites? I don't think so.
Is Miss Cali. a hypocrite? Not by what you and Busted are charging her with. She might be if she was going around telling other girls that being a model or that being in a beauty pageant is a sin.
Is she a hypocrite in my opinion? I don't know because I do not know her heart.
