A permabulker Transformation
« on: May 13, 2009, 01:52:38 PM »
maybe some members of this site (including me) should follow suit

I think a lot of guys in the 200-240 range would be dissapointed with the amount of actual muscle they have when dieted down.

I'm actually amazed at how much muscle he was able to keep. He must have done everything right.

Fuck that is why i have no desire to get into "contest" shape. I just want to get lean enough that i have nice abs and keep as much mass as i can.

Just goes to show how much fat permabulkers are carrying around all the time.

when i was 230+ i was dead sure i'd never get down to 200 without losing a load of muscle.

today i'm around 206 and could easily lose another 10, probably 20 if i wanted to get THAT lean.

i think a big reason people get their ideas skewed is if you're a "permabulker" or otherwise just a heavy lifter you have no idea how light one can be and still lift heavy. it's so rare to see anyone under 200 pounds using three plates on a bench so the guys who are 250-ish and getting a few reps assume that if they're that strong they must not REALLY have much fat on their body. i'm quickly learning how false that is.

Ok guys i finally decide to post my picture... yes i talked alot of shit now i give you the chance to talk shit about me lol, I know i look like dogshit and fairly small but i haven't been training very long...

The truth is, I have been training 1.5-2 years alot of the first year was not ideal training. Currently i am 6ft.2 and 215 lbs started at 175lbs from being a half marathon runner(maybe i gained 15 lbs of muscle onto my frame in last year and a half  and alot of fat)
as far as past lifting claims go.. yes i can deadlift 405 for 2 reps (not 8 : D). and i curl 50kg barbell x8 not 65kg.  :)

i just took shower before these picture.. that is why hair is wet and my arms look even worse because i don't know how to flex them in that position lol.

You have to click the picture to see full size...

Fat narrow lats and Brutal small arms,

oh well i stopped caring if i looked like shit or not that's why i decided to post, no more bullshit.

thanks if you weren't being sarcastic but i know that i look crap compared to most of getbig and the main reason is time, just haven't been training properly for long enough to get near a good physique.

I would drop those heavy barbell curls

they only work for short guys ala Lee Priest

You need to pump those guns up 3 times per week with lots of supersets to get them growing.

A heavy arm workout once a week won't do shit

Not that I really care but I suppose you have the peer-reviewed science to back up your claims?

You have good biceps, triceps are lagging a bit. Need to bring up the legs too. Otherwise, good development.

Biomechanics

Method has long arms that need specific movements to grow

3x per week Bi's Tri's,

and you will also need a specific forearm workout

don't listen to these guys who say "Heavy deads will hit ya forearms"

That only works for guys with great forearm genetics

i will start to train biceps/tris 2x per week after the diet i'm starting on monday. but 3x would probably be too much to fit into schedule.
