The NBA is completely set up for a Kobe/LeBron finals this year. Stern will make sure we see a Lakers/Cavs matchup with the L*kers winning.
All but guaranteed.

Assuming they even get that far, if the Lakers play against Cleveland the way they've played against Houston, they will lose the series.

I'm still a little bitter that Houston beat Portland even though the Blazers are clearly a better team. Blazers Lakers would have been a better series. Looks like Kobe vs. Lebron in the finals.

One of the worst 7-game series in NBA history...pure garbage basketball, totally unwatchable. Only one of the games was worth tuning in for.
I'm glad it's over. Basketball fans didn't deserve the abomination that was that entire series.

my excuse for the lakers taking this to game 7 was they could not adjust plays and defenses around missing yao ming, as they run a lot of plays through him, and whoi the fuck would think brooks would play like that?? ...fuck it bad excuses i know, hopefully they will learn and be nugget ready

I am too. I think we are going to see Portland get deep into the playoffs for the forseeable future, but never make the finals. Stern has flat out stated in the past that having teams like Ptld, Sac, Indiana, Utah, etc in the finals is financially bad for the league. Since it's all about money, you are going to see the traditional favorites getting promoted. If you think this is CT BS... watch a Laker game and see how many gimme calls they get every game. Also, when is the last time the Lakers LOST a game 7? Lakers/Cavs/Boston are going to get set up to trade off winning it in the next 5 years, unless Cleveland loses LeBron.

I agree with you. When that ref got busted for illegal gambling and fixing NBA games, and said he wasn't the only one, remember how quick Stern was to brush him off as some uncredible liar. There is some funny business going on in the NBA for sure. Stern needs to get the fuck out, we need a new commissioner.

Yes, Stern set up the Spurs and Pistons, two of the most boring teams in the history of basketball to win the title.
