Yeah.
This isn’t the best quality footage, and you kind of lose the sense of pace they used in so far as "telling the story” within the match, but I just looked this up real quick.

If you ever have the opportunity to view this match - or any of the series - in its entirety, definitely check it out.

Thanks for the details and explanations, fellas (regrading Steamboat). Whatever the reason, it was pretty stupid to not properly use Ricky to his full potential. Had Vince played his cards right, he could be milking a Ricky Steamboat 3 disc set right now.
HAHA, RON.....

He still could.
There’s tons of Ricky Steamboat footage out there, and the old man owns most of it – at least the good stuff.

Ricky also worked some terrific matches in Japan.

I'm not just saying this, but i think A-train could have been bigger than he was. He is a good, agile worker for someone his size and is a huge success in Japan right now.

Is't he big in AJPW?

Nice. Always wondered why they didn't push him a little better. Same with Snitzky. They would have made great heels. Even Umaga is not being used correctly either now. Remember that fued he had with Cena for the world title a couple of years ago? When he ran across the 3 annoounce tables and missed the splash breaking the last table? It wa a PPV last man standing match. Awesome agility.

High Voltage from WCW would have had a great WWE run in the tag team division.

Brainbusters were never used to their full potential.

Marc Mero was straddled with that lame jungle man gimmick.  He was way over even as a heel when he was Johnny B Badd.

Ernest Miller had the mouth to run off all night and never have anyone tire of him.

Kanyon was/is probably the best worker in the biz that never got a decent break from WWE Creative.

Sid Vicious was mishandled beyond repair.  He could have been a monster heel.  So could Scott Steiner if he wasn't so injury prone.

Management had big plans for Sid.
The old man was even prepping him with a Hogan-type treatment (limos, 1st class accommodations, etc.)

Apparently, Sid had developed a little too much ego and had a little too much to drink one night and caused some problems at a bar down in Atlanta.
Shortly afterwards he was gone from the fed.

That's exactly what he did and he went to NWA and had a great run winning the world title off of Ric Flair IMO the greatest wrestling matches ever produced.

Flair? Some of the best matches of all time?? Really?? You mean the bumping while risking the health of your arm and or hip never ruined his appeal with REAL wrestling fans???? You have to be fuckin kidding me right????? The guy who never could even take a clothsline and bump without putting his arm down now THATS BULLSHIT!!

Fuckin marks man MARKS

Christian never getting past mid card is such a waste.

The dude has everything EXCEPT the "look" that vince wants......its a shame he can never break that glass ceiling and get past that upper mid card.

Hey, brother:

I was wondering when you’d find you way to this board.
How’s your training going?

It was a while ago, but the last time we exchanged correspondence you PM’ed me a couple of training questions and had a tag match coming up (I believe).

So what’s new with you?

Just markin’ out here.
We got a lot of threads started in a short time, and although it’s mostly the same handful of people posting regularly, we’re starting to see some new ones join in.

The quality of posters is also surprisingly high with many intelligent conversations taking place.
I don’t say that out of ethnocentricity, but compared to some other boards, well…it’s quite a breath of fresh air.

And it’s just good to have a board for Karl to talk about something other than his masturbatatory adventures.
Although, he’s been quite MIA as of late.

I was actually youtubing some of my old school favorite WWF moments from back in the day last night..

the debut and feud of Nailz (one of the coolest gimmick's EVER!!!!) and Skinner!
back from around 1992 before all that stupid doink bullshit of the mid 90's.
I think WWF hit a brick wall around 1994 and started coming up with these retarded gimmicks they're three stars were gone (Hogan, Ultimate Warrior and Savage) and Rock and Austin hadn't yet arrived.

Well that’s good.

When he comes back I’m going to get on him about posting one of the funniest stories ever in pro wrestling. It involves his old man.

I won't mention another word here because it's not my story to tell, and I doubt I could do it justice anyway.
I'm sure Karl's dad has the best version.
