There were no such people that were called "Palestinians" get it through your fucking head. Show me a passport or immigration papers or SOMETHING. They were simply Arabs that lived in the region. After 1967 the "Palestinian" movement suddenly appeared on the scene. It was a good way to marshal indigenous troops from within the region so the Arab countries wouldn't have to waste anymore of their own soldiers, money and equipment to "fight" the Jews. And they weren't expelled for Christ sakes, Israel actually needed workers and such so they admitted a shit ton of Arabs in the region. Arabs and "Palestinians" IN Israel actually have more freedom, more access to success and more involvement in the political process than they do compared to anywhere else in the Middle East.
Get a fucking clue.
I cant begin to tell you how many things are wrong with that statement...The arabs and arafat didnt just create Palestinian nationalism out of thin air, it existed since the beginning of the 20th century, all you have to do is go back and look at the newspapers.
You say that the Palestinian national movement suddenly appeared in 1967...the PLO was created in 1964!!! Not only that but Palestinian liberation groups existed way before the PLO (as did Jewish Groups before the creation of Israel) The izz al deen al kassam Army The Black Hand which existed in 1930 being just the most salient.
The Palestinian national movement grew in tandem with the Jewish national movement, many of the first Jewish settlers in Palestine noticed it happening, and wrote about it...(If you're a Jew then you should have already read Ah'ad Ha'am)
There was never an administrative division called Palestine, but neither was there one called Israel (unless you think the kingdom of Solomon counts?...even then it was a multiethnic society and not a 'jewish state' as we have now)...show me an Israeli passport, show me Israeli land deeds..thats right there were none.
So lets be clear about one thing, neither really has any claim over the other, to deny the existence of the other is pure and simple racism. Remember many Palestinians DO have Ottoman land deeds showing they are from the area, as do many Jews who bought the land from Palestinians. Today both Israelis and Palestinians have Passports to deny that the other exists, is to live in loony land.
This business about the Arabs not being expelled or leaving...come on, please, we all know about the open bridges policy that Israel adopted...are you honestly trying to say that Israel ADMITTED Arabs into the region, that is just a plain lie. Allowing Palestinian workers in to Israel provided they leave before 12am is not admitting Arabs, its giving them temporary work permits which can be removed at any time for no reason. If you think Israel wanted Arabs in the country Read about plan Dalet if you know Hebrew you will be able to see what that wonderful policy was all about...on top of that I have spoken to people from the Palmach who told me they were under orders to remove Palestinians from their villages in 1948, some agreed, some didnt. What we know is that those Palestinians who left were not allowed back...SOME AFTER BEING PROMISED they could return...the wonderful case of Al Biram where Palestinians were allowed to return and then the IDF desroyed the village...you can go on and on and on...The documentation is all there in front of your eyes in the Zionist archives, all you have to do is read it for yourself.
If you think Palestinians want a state for the sole purpose to kill Jews then you have never met a palestinian. There is not widespread support for Hamas, nor is there support for Fatah, seriously that doesnt take an expert to know that.
As for Israeli Arabs having more freedom...lets take MK effie eitam's wonderful statement 'we need to expel all of you arabs to gaza, you traitors dont belong here.' The small matter of only 5.6% of building permits between 2007-8 being granted for Israeli Arabs wishing to build new homes. The new laws demanding their loyalty to the state, or denying their right to publicly express their identity as Palestinian citizens of Israel.
I say all this as a STRONG supporter of Israel and the right to defend itself...I condemn Hamas, and any other racist terrorist that wants to kill Jews because they are Jews, and the Pals can really test my patience at times. But what I cant stand is people like you who spout your one sided Kach bullshit claiming that it's somehow the truth, it's not, as anyone who actually tries to understand both sides knows very well.
