It is certainly sad to see 3 ardent pillars (my friend Sugree, Mr. Latchford and our learned counsel) of our sport being unceremoniously removed from their appointments. Sports is supposed to be universal, free from the binds of politics, race, religion, wealth, etc. But the events of late with regards to IFBB and the actions of certain officers in IFBB seem to imply otherwise. It only goes to show the limits they would go to pursue their motives.
 
    We have made ourselves clear that we will not and must not allow such miscarriages of justice to occur, hence our disassociation with IFBB. The online chatter on this topic is hotter than ever. Though initially, many speculated that ABBF will not last very long without IFBB, the current talk is one of support and confidence. It is also clear from online chatter that IFBB cannot establish a foothold in Asia without ABBF and losing ABBF is equated to substantial financial loss for IFBB. There is even talk that several European countries might jump ship if ABBF sets up a rival International Federation.
 
   This all goes to show that we are and will remain to be a force in Bodybuilding for a long time. Our Asian brotherhood has sustained the test of time and this challenge will certainly bring out the best in us. Let us all muster our every ounce of strength and will to move forward towards a better future for our athletes, our countries and our sport.
