Caffeine is a (natural) plant extract, not a drug. A drug, biochemically speaking, is something that is synthesized (artificially, such as in a lab) and doesn't exist in nature by itself.

yes, i  make this difference as well.

if testosterone grew on a tree in some plant, it would be ok.

Synthetic testosterone is identical in its chemical composition to natural testosterone. Although it is synthesized, there is no difference between it and what we have in our bodies, apart from the doses people choose to take. Looks like TEG is slipping up...

And of course, the hormones we Americans feed our chickens and beef cattle are ok, too.

So, as I like to say, "we're perfectly ok with taking steroids in this country, so long as they're introduced early in the food chain".

hahaahaha, yes, steroids in food sucks big time.

I try to buy my meat organic.  ;D ;D

I don't want to start another natural/juicer debate, if you want to juice, juice, if you don't want to, leave it.

But considering coffee as doping for a recreational gym goer is over the edge.

Haha I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, but I was just saying that Caffeine isn't a drug, unlike Aspirin, for example. It could be classified as a "drug" in a Pharmaceutical context, but it's not actually so per se.

Artificially reproducing a naturally occurring substance isn't the same as bringing into existence a combination of molecules to create a new product / substance that doesn't exist otherwise.

Trust Deicide to put an owning on self righteous assholes.

Is that aimed at me?

Exactly. Synthetic testo=has the same molecular composition as normal testo=same

Where did you get this definition of the word drug? The dictionary doesn't define it like this. I think you're completely wrong. If I drink Coca Tea or chew Kat like the Somalians do I'm not using a drug?

I see what you're saying. What I've said is more of a basis of classification than it was meant to be a definition (which it's not). It's like Marijuana and Ecstasy being classified as drugs, for example, even though the former occurs naturally while the latter is synthesized.

Yes, he is right, what you meant is like the "natural BB" definition of drug use.

Natural BB take natural drugs, i wonder if there are guys that would say Ephedra is okay, but Ephedrine is bad.
