Yeah, pretty much.  Why should I deeply care about people I don't know?  It's pointless and pretty dumb.

so 9/11 was just another day for you?

Comparing 9/11 to this is lame.

9/11 wasn't just another day for me.  I didn't know anyone that died there and didn't weep but I felt many emotions about what happened to my country to that day.

Not a valid analogy...  people reacted not because of those who died, but because of what the situation represented for their own safety and the safety of those they did care about.

Here's another example:  the DC Metro crash...  no big deal for most of us, but it certainly caused a reaction in thise who ride the Metro frequently or who have loved ones who do.  Bottom line... unless an event hits home for you personally, it's just another day.  Most could care less about a pop singer/pedophille having a heart attack.

Pretty much.  I think most people would help someone who is right in front of them and needs help, but shit on the news?  The first thought is "how exactly does this affect me?"

And I addressed that point too.  I didn't weep for them, and felt a lot of things about what happened that day and what it meant to me as an American.  I didn't weep for the victims of Katrina either because I didn't know them.  Terrible things happen to people but I just stay neutral and move on.

It's like when that Angels pitcher died.  People didn't know him and mourned him like he was their son/brother/friend, etc.  I have a friend who was in the same sorority as the girl that died; she had a reason to mourn, I didn't.

you don't have to "weep" to feel bad about somebody dying

Positivity is overrated.

And interest in celebrity culture is a sign of a low IQ.

seriously i think you are in desperate need of a shrink, you are so miserable that you spend your life on a bodybuilding forum, which is something you claim to hate

you hate everything and everyone, no way to go through life son

MJ entertained billions of people with his performances and music, if you can't understand how people could be disappointed with his passing than maybe you aren't much smarter than the africans with spears that you always bring up ;)

I arrived on this board in November of 1998 it was much different then.  I was off and on until 2003 when I was on alot more.
After countless times of reporting the outright racism and nothing being done about it, I'm done.  It's ran its course.  It's not about being able to take it or anything like that.  There is a point in time when enough is enough.  Nothing good comes out of all the hate and negative speech.  I've tried to be a fighter against it and before I knew it, I was participating.

Contrary to popular belief, me getting "owned" had very little to do with it.  Too much negative energy here.  I've been on many bodybuilding boards since 98 and this board is the worst modded when it comes to hate speech towards blacks, browns, Middle Easterners (minus Jews) and Asians.  It's unacceptable and one of the reasons many good people leave.

I wish all the people I had great times with the best.

Call it a meltdown or whatever.  It's the truth.

But Wiggs, we were with you during the hard times. When you were jobless having to move back into your parents home. Now that you're back on your feet you're going to toss us out like the proverbial old shoe. Sure we're racist here but at least it's in your face not slinking around behind your back with their fake smiles and phony compliments as in the real world.

I'm actually going to miss you. I think you're a good addition to this board. I almost like you, at least as far as I can like a black man. Besides, in a way I need you. You're the closest thing I have to a black friend without actually having to be with them in person. It provides cover for being a racist because I can say that I know and talk to a black person all the time.

You're not going to find another group like us anywhere. Or in your language: "Weeze jus keepin it reeal. Fo shizzle! Werd."

BTW Wiggs, just to let you know that I don't let my racism cloud my judgement, remember that thread that ask what would be worse: your daughter married to a Black man or your son was gay? Well, of course as a proud White man it would bother me more if my dear, sweet daughter married a Black but she wouldn't go to hell for it (though I'm comforted by the fact that chances are her Black husband would since odds are overwhelming that he'll commit some crime or heinous act of violence). So though I would like to kill them both, if I had to choose, I'd choose that my daughter would marry a Black man even though it would forever torment me because if my son was gay he would surely go to hell because as a devout, compassionate Christian we all know that God hates a fag.
