If there's 3 million to choose from in Football, or 'soccer', it obviously stands to reason the standard will be higher than in sports only played by North Americans.

These guys don't get it. None of the rest of the world cares about NFL NBA etc, yet the entire rest of the world is in love with the 'beautiful game'. America is a very new and young country however, and seems to be catching up to some of the more established countries which have more than 50 years history of culture and sports behind them.

A lot of younger players will have roommates in order to cut expenses and double the fun (always having a playmate for video games and shit like that). 

Plus, most players get drafted to someplace other than where they're from, so a lot of guys won't fully settle in right away, so they just rent instead of buying.

Yeah but Sev they are different sports. The requirements are different, Rugby the ball is in play a lot more, less resting, players have to both attack and defend, you cant bring on a special kicker. Some of the skills in both sports are similar (strength, speed, size, power, handling skills, tackling) and no doubt some players could cross over given enough training. But it would be extrememly difficult. Some rugby players are freaking huge btw, Andrew Sheridan weighs 295 and stands 6'5...seems to be the way alot of front row forwards in rugby are going nowadays.
