Paying massive taxes never bothered you before doc, can't quote exactly but you know what I am talking about. ;)
Massive!? LOL. No. But I have no problem paying my share. Even for MattC's eventual mudshark, unemployment insurance-gouging, in-and-out-of-psych-wards daughter. Gad. I miss Debussey. We need him in a thread like this. You have the Debussey signal?

LOL!!

If elected, would I become the first black American to go from the adult industry to the U.S. Senate?  Or have there been others?

I took a few self-portraits last night.  Rapidly approaching 40, it feels great to be less of a fat bastard now!  Still a fat bastard as my standards are higher now, but greatly reduced with an awesome change (so far) in body composition.

Obama really has been my savior.   ;D
Well, I thought it would be at least another generation before I/We saw a Black in the White House (Hah!), given the States' unwillingness to reconcile the race thingy. As an aside, I have a friend who read law at Chicago, and she says that his 'ahems/ahaws' are totally his usual nerdy patterns, and not some speech contrivances. I kinda think that is cool. Makes him seem less idiotic/robotic than his predecessor. Brother needs all the help he can get.

'Bout time the court made a good decision in this area!  Perhaps this might be the beginning of the end for affirmative action, a racist policy based on the notion that "two wrongs make a right".  Now maybe we can get things to the way they should be:  each individual judged on his own merits, no discrimination and no "special privileges for special groups".

Nah.  Still feels weird sometimes, but even with the baby mama drama, I'm still very thankful for the life I have today vs the life I'd have if I'd gone to med school or done anything else at all.

It's likely that I'll go to law school, though.  Because I'm black (LOL), I received conditional invitations to a couple of schools without even applying, but baby mama f'd that up, too, so my friend and I decided to launch HerBicepsCam instead...the best career decision we ever made (he's got a law degree from Duke and used to work at a top-10 firm in NYC).

Why would I go to school, some ask?  Well, my family is all about higher learning and I'm the only person in my family who doesn't hold at least a masters degree.  I'd also like to become a writer and 'community organizer' ;), and having more credentials would certainly help me there, especially when I'm speaking to schools, church/civic groups, etc. and seeking to inspire black youth.

I'm not completely opposed to the fact that Affirmative Action ever existed, because one has to admit that it helped to open doors that would've remained closed for decades.

That said, I think its usefulness has expired.  Even though that could mean fewer Blacks at the top of white-dominated companies, maybe it'll inspire more Blacks to build their own mega-corporations.  I'm not advocating segregation by any means, but Mormons and Jews are more likely to spend their money with other Mormons and Jews whenever possible.

Why shouldn't Blacks be doing the same in order to improve the lives of black Americans across-the-board?

To the original point, when two candidates for a job are in the final interview, the one who looks more like the interviewer is going to have a built-in advantage during the selection process.  Human nature is what it is.

LOL. Nice snag. I guess my English snobbishness is showing, today. She took a law course from Obama. Constitutional, I think. She said he was nice, but really shy and really nerdy, not the  forceful guy you see on tv. And he was really furtive with the ciggies.  How's that? Better?

/i wish I had the foresight to get a signed copy of his first book. *facepalm*

All fire departments hire a woman just to feel politically correct
Well political correctness is the death of society
We had a 5'2 ugly little tramp who cud barely carry the cutting equipment 10feet
Not good,not good at all

Truest statement ever!!!! They do a totally different physical entrance test over here. I remember having an argument with a woman once about female firemen (I refuse to even say the term "firefighter") after a few minutes of becoming rapidly bored I just said to the over opinionated skank "if you're in a fire and you're just about to pass out due to smoke inhalation and will probably never wake up again, who do you want climbing up that ladder to save you - me or some 5 foot nothing 90 pound bint?"  conversation over!!

Why dont u inspire white youth too?
Whats wrong with whites?
What is herbicepscam?

Great question, and you're right to call me out on that.

Although I grew up with a lot of poor Whites, 20-30 years ago, I could see that - despite being from 'bad stock' - they still had more opportunities than Blacks.  They could get a $6/hour job at the feed mill, because the owner was doing the kid's dad a favor.  Black kid with no police record comes in for a job..."sorry, not hiring today, but please leave your application with us.  You might wanna try at Winn-Dixie."

When you look at the numbers, it's clear that all the anecdotal evidence we see with our eyes is all-too-accurate - black males are a seriously at-risk population, and few people, if any, are working to fix the problems which plague our communities.  Without adequate supervision and strong, fatherly role models, these kids are headed for failure.  Sure, some will escape and will make it.  But too many of them won't.

Speaking to my own experience, I taught for a portion of a school year at a middle school in DC.  All the students were black and it was, without question, one of the worst experiences of my life.  And as bad as the kids were, the parents were worse.  Even though I was not going to return anyway, I was not asked to teach the following year because I actually expected the kids to learn something in my class.

I HAVE to speak to Black America.  White folks gon' be alright...but black folks?  My people are in trouble and I have an obligation to them...and if I do that work, it will absolutely benefit America as a whole.

~WTF is "reverse discimination" - like discrimination goes only one way - FUCK SAKE I hate this PC Bullshit - there is also reverse sexism BOLLOX
The same shit with - "positive discrimination" I hear that crap in the office a lot - what it means is that "for excample" the German governement sets a certain target for Companies of a % of woman that have to be given a chance to have a leading position in the board - because some bitch gets the automaticly the job even if (by pure chance) some guy is much better suited and qualified for it - thats what they call "positive discrimination"

Hopefully this represents an end to the rampant and ongoing racism against whites in the USA today:

Had to look it up to be sure, but he is the new chairman of Citigroup.  Great, put the black man in the captain's chair when the ship is taking on water!

Kwame Jackson (season 1) was really sharp, too, but wasn't as handsome as Bill, so the white guy got the nod from Trump.

Kwame's arms look good, but he needs to put in some serious work on the delts:

Why can't intelligent brothas ever find any black women to date?

classifying people by race is as stupid and pointless as classifying people by the length of their fingernails or how many nose hairs they have.

Reverse Discrimination is BS- discrimination is discrimination even if it's not the most popular form.

hate crimes are redundant too.

Where did I use the word "appointed"?

I said "pick'em".  As in SELECTED as nominee. The president selects the nominee for the position. That is the very first step. He picks'em.

Get it chief or should I draw you a picture? ::)

Obama selects Sotomayor as Supreme Court nominee
President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden escort Sonia Sotomayor to the White House's East Room just before the announcement that the federal judge was Obama's nominee for the Supreme Court.

And the funny thing with Supreme Court nominees....? They have an annoying habit of not making decisions that jibe with your political leanings. Every President who ever tried to load the court finds this out.  ;D
