pretty sad you spend hours upon hours a day on a message board whining about your poor genetics and horrible physique yet will take a week off from the actually striving towards your goals whenever a breeze blows by

your problem is you over think everything----no wonder you have insomnia

Well, I was going on holiday anyway but due to unforeseen circumstances it was canceled as related in another thread...

In my experience it is good for the body to regenerate after say 10 weeks of non-stop training or are you a believer in no breaks and marathon training?

How about some pics? I hear you have one of the best physiques on the entire board.

trolling and ball busting aside------I take one day a week and have a cheat meal or cheat day depending how far along im dieting or how far down I want to get

even if you take a week off from lifting you should not take a week off from your diet, try cycling carbs too, healthy ones though.  have a couple high carb days and you'll notice a difference in terms of healing and recovery

ohh and my physique is nothing compared to some of hte guys on here, I can just get lean (although I can very easily and have gotten fat on many occasions)

I am sticking to the diet, just not lifting for a week. I usually do after 8-10 weeks of lifting and have found it to be advantageous. I don't have good recovery ability so it is helpful in that respect as well.

He does have excellent genetics for strength (and structure for the lift) no doubt, but make no mistake, this guy has trained his ass off to be able to do that. It not just about hard training either, it's analyzing technique, taping all workouts and looking at the technique and how it can be improved. This type of lifting also requires a certain mindset which can be argued to be genetic too. Powerlifting is a sport where a guy with shitty genetics can get to elite level if he is persistent enough.

Excellent post.

I've seen people with horrible genetics pound through workouts for years and become very strong lifters.
