This is all bullshit...

They need to hire whoever lit the 1999 english grand prix to do all the shows because the guys looked AWESOME at that show and the lighting and the black background had plenty to do with it.

Bring the muscle to the fore and people will like it... Right now there is too much to look at on the stages and it's distracting.

Bodybuilding is a weird sport so it works better to play it straight rather than camp it up which just turns it into a farce.

Guys look better posing on old style podiums too... once they start walking around the stage demanding applause they look like morons.

just come out and do your best shots for 90-120 seconds and leave the audience wanting more just like arnold/sergio/robby did...

Bodybuilding will NEVER be as mainstream or popular as major sports (baseball, hockey, mma, basketball, etc.)
it's a niche market, and just like those other sports bodybuilding has it's roots in staying healthy and weighlifting just like hockey has 9 year old kids playing in the school parking lot with nets they carry out from their garages and so on. But while it's viable that kids can make crazy careers if they're good at one of the major 4 sports, the same cannot be said for bodybuilding. Someone on here said it best, why bother (unless you're doing it purely for yourself) if at the end of the day (contest) your pay cheque is less then 30th place on some random golf tour in the midle of nowhere.
