there was a pic in an old weider mag soon after a.s stopped competing and only his calves looked big. the caption of the pic read arnold still trains his calves hard. why did everything else shrink to puny size and only his calves stayed big. end of story.

there is know way you can make an implant striate and twitch the way his did. he didn't give up when they were lagging, he prioritized them. people don't know how to work hard anymore.

my quads have probably shrunk 3 inches since i stopped training, but my calves only about a half inch. they are one muscle that we continue to work through walking,stairs, etc. i would bet Arnold still does cardio for his heart, and that can really stimulate the calves.

Yates calves are still huge and he is not on the same "program" as when competing. arnold still had size in the 80's and had the calves in the movie twins. they move when flexed.
