Yeah, final bell. I seem to recall that the Ravens were only down two points and trying to drive for a winning FG attempt before ROOKIE QB Joe Flacco threw a game ending INT for a TD. I know tons of Steelers fans that were at that game nervous as shit they were going to lose before that INT happened(you included). The Ravens had every right to be in the game until the final minute. For you to say that the Steelers should have won by more than 9 points is just plain stupid. Every game bewteen the two teams could have gone either way. They needed overtime to win the first game. A bullshit TD by Holmes that the Ravens were WINNING in the second game, and a Polamalo pick for the game winning TD in the AFC title game. But the Steelers should have won by more than 9 points, right? Sorry dude but that's a dumbshit opinion if I ever read one.
The Ravens made it real easy for you to make the Superbowl. No Colts or Titans to play while the Ravens went on the road as a #6 seed and won two playoff games.(one against the #1 seed who whipped the Steelers ass a few weeks prior to that. And let's not forget that there was no Tom Brady and the Patriots for EITHER team to worry about in the playoffs because if there was then there's a real possbility that both our teams wouldn't have made it to the conference championship game. (when's the last time either team has beaten Brady? Hmmmmmmmm)
The Steelers are the better team. No one is disagreeing with that. But the Ravens were severly banged up leading up to the title game. Suggs was playing with one arm(still got two sacks.) and the secondary was depleted with Samari Rolle's absence. Limas Sweed dropping that touchdown pass had as much to do with him being a rookie as Flacco throwing that INT to seal the loss at the end.
The Ravens will have their time in the sun, believe it. You can shit on Flacco all you want because he didn't start for the Shitsburgh Panthers in college. But the kid is going to be special and the Ravens will be a force for years to come.
i think the ravens were around their own 20 yard line when that int happened, they had a long way to go before they could get into field goal positioning, which was something they could hardly do all game
how is it stupid to say the steelers should've won by more than 9? how often does an nfl receiver drop that wide open pass thrown to sweed? do you remember that play or do you only remember the plays the ravens messed up? flacco's int was nowhere near the fluke as that dropped pass
when you beat a team 3 TIME 3 TIME 3 TIME in one season you are clearly the superior team, it doesn't matter what the final scores were and your ravens had no business being in the afc title game, remember the delay of game uncalled penalty against the titans? you got a lot of nerve whining about a legit td holmes had in the regular season game
the steelers owned the team that beat the colts, when you earn a first round bye you can only play the teams that earn a first round playoff win, yeah the road to the super bowl was easier but to put down the steelers for that is just reaching and shows pure bitterness
do you really believe kerry collins was going to lead his team to the super bowl, seriously? you know it's different in the playoffs and like i said before if the ravens couldn't beat the steelers what makes you think the steelers couldn't beat the titans? again you are reaching
i specifically remember you saying rolle wasn't good, is he still playing for the ravens?
brady hasn't won a super bowl since 2004, the steelers have won 2 super bowls since then, stop reaching for anyway you can to discredit the steelers record 6th super bowl
the ravens could be a contender but i still see the same weak receiving corp and secondary aside from ed reed
