Author Topic: Olympia 2009 - My Top 5 Mr Olympia Picks (Read 3270 times)

1. Kai (he packs the size, yet can come in as ripped as dexter so id have to give it to Kai if he's as ripped as he was at the Arnold)

2. Dexter (His condition will keep him secured in 2nd place, with the possibility to take 1st if Kai is off)

3. Jay (He will have good size, but i feel he just wont be able to attain the type of crisp condition that Kai and dexter can)

4. Heath (His lack of size compared to Jay will keep him in 4th spot, even if he's more conditioned then Jay)

5. Victor (His condition was not where it needed to be at the Arnold, i feel he will have the same problem at the O. Heath will be in better condition and close to the same size as Vic with better legs and calves.)

Wolf or Freeman will take 6th

Why did they let the "fantastic" white role model Cutler lose after only 2? They replaced him with a much less marketable guy... why?

Everyone said Cutler just couldn't lose. It was in his contract, like Coach said.

that's coach's opn. jay was off. phil wasnt ready. dex is out of door...based on age vs vic, wolf or kai.

1. wolf - foreigner. b###hes ami wasnt around during yates' run
2. vic - record
3. kai - stripper vids and all kinds of stuff.

what makes you think an american publishing / media will take all those risk factors vs a sure thing in phil? if i ran ami...he is mr O for the next 5-6 yrs.

Kai beat an empty lineup at the Arnold and now everyone is on his ass. He wasn't compared against Wolf, Jay, Dex or Heath. Kai might make top 3 but that is if the other guys are off.

thats a real good point, it was an empty lineup.................. .plus kai is a very emotionally unpredictable person who has alot of drama in his life, so lets not take it for granted that he will show up in the sme condition he did for the arnold................he has only came in like that once really, not year in year out like a dexter or something.

i hear alot of guys on here, rip phil heath............maybe he has narrow clavicles or whatever,,,,,,but i just see him as leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else genetically............. .....liek if you took a flex wheeler in his prime, and mixed his with a prime victor............he is gonna be hard to beat, eventually it will probably be inescapable, and they will have to give it to him, but they might be alble to hold out on him for another year or two

How do you feel the "politics" work in the IFBB? Are the judges instructed by someone on how to place the athletes prior to the show? Are the score sheets changed after the judges hand them in?

Personally I don't think anyone cares about those "risks", the convictions, the G4P. No one on the outside cares who's Mr O. These things may influence an individual judge's scoring but I doubt it's as calculated as you think. But I don't have any insight into the judging there so I don't know. Are there no politics at the Arnold? How come Kai was allowed to win there? How come Vic was allowed to win? Is it only the O that's political?

If Kai does win I guarantee it will be called politics by most everyone here. It will always be politics and political reasons will be found no matter who wins. It's the nature of a subjective beauty pageant.

Nice time to post predictions and not to Monday Morning QB you for having the guts to do this....but Kai still has dues to pay in the IFBB and Jay isn't so done yet. I see Jay winning after correcting all his mistakes. Dex is great but I doubt he will duplicate his condition from last year. He may not have the EOTT(see Rocky III) this year. Hell he hasn't been hungry since he wore that medal!!!!!!
