Former Juicers, how much did you keep?
« on: July 22, 2009, 11:57:21 AM »
Just curious to all the former juicers gone natural, how big and lean were you at your best, and what are your current stats?

What has changed in your routines besides the drugs?

Thank you for you time.

I'm 5'8' at about 200 didn't really change when coming off but i did so after dieting down to compete so i actually gained some weight.

I think you will hold most of it if you keep eating and training correctly, if you come off after 'bulking' then you are going to probably drop some fluid. I had hit 230 clean (fat) in the past and more juiced so my body was used to holding a lot of weight.

My gains dissaper pretty quickly....but I keep most of my strength after a cycle. Though I have never cycled longer then 8-9 weeks...so Im probably not the best person to comment.

Because someone asked for input and he's giving his even though he admits it's not the best example

Why don't you shut the fvck up and stop bringing this board down with your incessant negativity. He did nothing to you yet you feel the need to make a sarcastic comment. For a corporate lawyer you sure have a lot of free time on your hands.

the pics below were taken at the biggest I have been at about 220 lbs and 10% bodyfat I think.

Ive never ran anything too heavy, usually about a gram in total, 500 mg test, and 500 mg something else. When I was 220 I used test and tren and could Bench 315 for 7-8 clean reps, Deadlift 545 for one with straps, and squat 315 for 5-6 reps ( I know its pathetic to bench more than you squat).

Now Im clean, been so for almost a year and weigh about 210 at 13-14% bodyfat. My lifts are as follows. bench 315 for 3 reps, deadlift  495 for one, and squat 315 for 1-2.

Yah I do, Ive always been that way, dunno why. My hack squat and leg press are relativley good but my free weight squat has always sucked sour frog ass.

I think Ronnie Coleman said the same thing.  Just a "tuning".

Is there a reason for the low squat numbers?  Old injury?  If you can dead 500, you should think about maybe concentrating on your squat for a while.

my natural weight is close to what my old best contest weight was, but of course my bodyfat is higher.

most guys i know are the same if they competed at 90 kilos ripped they are usually clean around the same size but dont look anything like they did in contest shape, obviously as there really is an androgenic look when on as opposed to off thats why so called naturals look so obvious to some people, when they are proclaiming their clean, we all know what clean looks like even guys who are clean with good genetics

im quoting guys who are around the same age as me guys who have done 15 to 20 years training both on and off, not gym rats who juice from the first day they hit the gym and dont stop, guys from my generation usually tried to build a good base before hitting the gas.

Thats actually a pretty good assessment. Im still pretty heavy but look more like a football player then a bodybuilder.

I personally used only very moderate amounts of gear for reasonably short cycles - anabol never more than 20mg per day, test enanthate never more than 250mg every 8-9 days and cycle lengths of never less than 8 weeks and never longer than 12 weeks. Grew like a weed on gear but trained for many years drug free before I took the plunge. Found that anabol gave me huge gains but would generally lose about 30% of both strength and weight gains after cycling off it. However with enanthate, as long as I kept on training after the cycle probably lost about 10% of the strength gains. But that took about three months. However I am now training again after 4 years off training completely and am totally clean also. I weigh around 275 and now have a few issues with rotator cuff etc but am getting progressively stronger and more defined - started training beginning of this year. My biggest bodyweight was around 300 but again keep in mind I weighed 260 before I ever even considered taking gear. My starting bodyweight before bodybuilding (I was 20 at the time) was 185 pounds. My current bodyfat is around 25%. Never used anything else - kept the diet clean and simple, the training mostly free weights, maybe protein powder, sometimes very little creatine and my body just responds very well. Put on almost a hundred pounds naturally - I'm 6 4" and wide as a house hence some of the shoulder issues I now have.
Can't understand why some people seem to feel the need to take vast quantities of gear (if true) however I believe that there are a number of pros out there who honestly take a hell of a lot less than you think. My goal for this year after the four year lay off is to get to around 280 pounds and lose 10% bodyfat. I'll be reasonably happy at 15% - like to have some ab definition back as currently have uni ab- not a good look. Stats right now - thighs 26, bis 18, chest 62, calves (non existent at present as have not yet begun to train them), waist 42. Best stats I ever had - thighs almost 30, calves 19, waist 36, bis almost 20, chest 65ish.
Best weights in the gym - bench 350 for 10, squat 350 for 12-15, bent bb row - 350 for 10-12, bb curls 180 for 12, lying frenchies 200 for 12 etc etc.
Currently I cant bench - rotator cuff problem but am happy that I can rep out 12-15 on dumbells with 90 pounders (biggest dbs in my gym), squating 300 for 6 - could only squat the 90 pounds for about 6-8 reps when I started back after the lay off, bent bb rows 260 for 8-10, bb curls 120 for 12.

i never really went to high and had plenty of time off in between, no doubt this helps and no doubt having a conservative approach to juicing hurt how far i went in the sport but i also had goals outside the sport and have no regrets. I never used more than a gram of test off season and pre contest for one show where i competed at 110kg i went as high as 2300mg per week last 4 weeks only im over 6 foot  which was mainly anadrol stan and cypt, never could handle the prop soreness.
If i use HRT now at 250mg every 10 days i put on 6 kilos above a natural weight. Have no long term issues had all the scans done including cal score tests and  various ECG, i think if you use responsibly with good breaks inbetween you will be fine unless there are underlying conditions.
