i found it:

Arnold took the title unopposed in 1971. For the first time, the show was held outside of New York. The Mr. Olympia contest was held in Paris the same day the NABBA Universe was being held in London. Arnold, with his loyalty 100% behind the IFBB, competed in the Mr. Olympia while other great champions of that year chose to avoid Arnold and compete in the NABBA competition.

Cool stuff, if you compete alone in a contest.  ::)

lol, but seriously, it's not Arnold's fault that he was alone, but it adds a little bit of bitter taste to the 7 titles he has.

Sergio Oliva is even worse, one time he was alone, another time he was against the young Arnold only.

Are you saying Arnold would have lost against Dorian?

I doubt that and i wonder what Arnold would have looked like with the drugs of the nineties.

But we will never know, and i see your point.

Wow, Looks really good there.

Yes, but imagine, you could have been runner-up to Arnold that year.  ;D ;D

No matter who would have been onstage in 71 against him, would have beat how he looked at that show.

Mr Universe to qualify for a Mr O?

That's not bad at all.

Sorry Donkey,
Franco did NOT run un-opposed in 1976 (Frank Zane, Mike Katz, Boyer Coe, etc)

The Olympia was not clearly established as the no.1 show and the other guys quite rightly decided the competiting show in london was a much fairer contest. Oliva was kept out of the olympia that year by Weider so of course ya it was fixed. He would've been comparable to Schwarzenegger, don't know whether he'd have won in a fairly judged show but Weider took no chances and kept him out.

Schwarzenegger always looked a lot better on thighs when then bodyweight was higher, like there.

The judges obviously didnt notice the others, as they gave it to Franco.
