It's only racism if the cop wouldn't have done the same thing if the guy was white. If he would have done the same thing to a white man that was getting loud in his own home then it's not racism.  It's stupidity.  Sometimes there is a difference.  Sometimes.

No, you would not find a lawyer, cause the cop did nothing out of line.  He simply was doing him job.  Just answer the question, why was the cop out of line?  When responding to a robbery 911 call, he is confronted with a beligerant out of control man.  He warns him on several occasions, then finally arrests him.  

What did the cop do wrong?  He did not enter your house and arrest you for no reason.

I just read the police report and it sounded like a legitimate arrest. I know from experience that a police report is written in order to justify an arrest. (I'm a former Sheriffs Deputy) I've written my share of reports for situations similar to this one.  Another thing I learned as a police officer is that there are at least two sides to every story if not more.  If I had to base my opinion on this report alone and not hearing the side of the victim/detainee then I would say there was no racism nor stupidity on the part of the officer.  I'm sure Mr. Gates statement paints an entirely different picture.  I'd love to read that.

No, it could be racist because the cop bust in the door and said "Listen you old black bastard, I'm taking your black ass to jail because I know you did something fucked up considering how long you've been black."  Like I said, there's usually "AT LEAST" two sides to every story.  We don't know what the homeowner has to say about why he ranted and raved about the officer being racist. I'm damn sure the officer wasn't going to put it in his report.

You don't know what the President knew or didn't know about the situation.  Hell, we don't even know the situation. You are the one making judgements based on half ass'd information.  Unless you know what the home owner wrote in his statement then you don't have anything to base this argument off of.  Being as Obama is the President of the United States I'm sure he had access to much more info then we do.  I'm sure that not only did he review the info but I'm sure his people reviewed it.  Right now we don't know who's stupid but if you keep going on we may be able to figure it out.
