Biological passport like cycling.
Cycling = the most drug fulled sport in the world. lol
Not a good example of a sport with its house in order.
You're right, there's lots of drugs in cycling, especially historically. But if bb instituted biological passport + the regular WADA type screens bb would be DEAD. It's a different situation since bodybuilders need regular, long term anabolic steroid use (especially) and growth hormones and all the rest. In my layman's opinion there would be no way around it. In cycling they have all these new blood boosting drugs + they may only need the boost a day or few days at a time. Plus cycling has lots of money (this type of sophisticated doping costs a lot). I think even the cyclists on the passport program have a hard time doping effectively nowadays.
As stated numerous times.....Pro BB would continue and be viable...perhaps even more with the supps becoming even more important
Some physiques would probably improve..
What a joke. If the IFBB instituted real state-of-the-art testing, especially random off-season testing, the physiques in the IFBB would actually be WORSE than what you see in the natural orgs such as where Layne Norton competes (and wins). Those guys only have to pass a cheap-ass test on the day of, at best (if the sample isn't poured down the drain).
The only supps that really make a difference are drugs (many of which are sold at bb.com and banned by WADA etc). Creatine is the most potent supplement that I consider natural. I use it but it only adds a little water and a little strength. Doesn't
really change a physique.
I know what you really mean, if there was a window-dressing type testing where you could still use it might still survive. Sort of like the absolute joke "testing" of the pro wrestlers. Real state-of-the-art testing that prevented athletes from doing any real steroid cycles (which is possible) would kill the sport.
Look at Mike Quinn, a few months off steroids and STILL on growth hormone
