Requiring IFBB pros to undergo medical exam and drug tests is like requiring Miss USA contestants to undergo medical exams.  There is no comparison between bb'ing and real sports.

As the athletes rep, it is a given that you will be called to testify when the gov't focuses its sight on the IFBB, I think that it would be a good idea to have a lawyer with you should they call you to testify.

Highly doubtful....I'm not part of the brass.

BBing is more dependent on drugs.  Even Chick has said that without drugs, there would be no pro bbing.  But drug use is rampant in all of the major sports.  But bbing is not a sport.  Its more akin to pageants like Little Miss Sunshine.

Really?   where was that said?

Sad to hear such "expert" opinion from non BBers, when you're really more akin to Little Miss Sunshine

So, let's just clear this up chick...is it your opinion that if the IFBB performed strict drug tests and eradicated all PED's from the contestants that "pro" bbing would remain a viable enterprise?

As stated numerous times.....Pro BB would continue and be viable...perhaps even more with the supps becoming even more important

I believe absolutely every pro athlete since the 70's is juiced
a thinly veiled secret
from the unwashed masses

just look at Reggie Jackson

Funny you should mention him.

I remember him being on "American Muscle" on ESPN back in the early 90's all jacked up.

But he didn't juice when he was playing  ::)  fucking hypocrite

as well expect hearings on capital hill calling out the people that run the IFBB,

see, the IFBB should have remained a Canadian corporation.  then Congress would have no jurisdiction

or maybe they should incorporate someplace where steroids are no big deal, such as Mexico

Chick is gonna perjure himself when Congress asks him under oath whether his "win" at the Masters was rigged.

Finally some truth from BC. Yep, he is a foot soldier in the organization. A message boy and assistant to the boss. In other words, he is the IFBB patsy and stooge.

Chicky, when will you allow an independent examination of your scalp? Do you have anything to hide?

I've offered it many times....anytime, anywhere....always willing to take easy money from those foolish enough to part with it.

These guys always say they'll put up, but have yet to actually back up their mouths.

Perhaps, you can be the leader

Biological passport like cycling.
Cycling = the most drug fulled sport in the world. lol

Not a good example of a sport with its house in order.

You're right, there's lots of drugs in cycling, especially historically. But if bb instituted biological passport + the regular WADA type screens bb would be DEAD. It's a different situation since bodybuilders need regular, long term anabolic steroid use (especially) and growth hormones and all the rest. In my layman's opinion there would be no way around it. In cycling they have all these new blood boosting drugs + they may only need the boost a day or few days at a time. Plus cycling has lots of money (this type of sophisticated doping costs a lot). I think even the cyclists on the passport program have a hard time doping effectively nowadays.

As stated numerous times.....Pro BB would continue and be viable...perhaps even more with the supps becoming even more important

Some physiques would probably improve..

What a joke. If the IFBB instituted real state-of-the-art testing, especially random off-season testing, the physiques in the IFBB would actually be WORSE than what you see in the natural orgs such as where Layne Norton competes (and wins). Those guys only have to pass a cheap-ass test on the day of, at best (if the sample isn't poured down the drain).

The only supps that really make a difference are drugs (many of which are sold at bb.com and banned by WADA etc). Creatine is the most potent supplement that I consider natural. I use it but it only adds a little water and a little strength. Doesn't really change a physique.

I know what you really mean, if there was a window-dressing type testing where you could still use it might still survive. Sort of like the absolute joke "testing" of the pro wrestlers. Real state-of-the-art testing that prevented athletes from doing any real steroid cycles (which is possible) would kill the sport.

Look at Mike Quinn, a few months off steroids and STILL on growth hormone

Quinns issues ran far deeper than lack of steroids....

His problem wasn't lack of muscle, it was that he was fat....mostly due to the high fat Mario DePasquale diet most of them (sans Strydom) were using as part of the system put in place when McMahon was put on the hotseat by congress re steroids, etc
