A job in the military is just a career IMO - It is a paid career

It is my opinion that if you sign up you are to blame for any injury incurred. It is sad when a brother/son/father/husband dies etc - However are we that shocked.

Saying that, there was a programme on tonight I watched about the oldest veteran of WWI who passed away recently aged 112. I think it was BBC it was on.

Looking at him having talking and the response and respect he recieved from everyone was touching. They are truly inspiring - the never fought a war by pressing a button 400 miles away.

War is a waste of life - absolute waste. I had ancestors died in WWI, WW2 and other battles.

I gotta agree with you there, those were the real soldiers, having to deal with mustard gas and other crazy shit, half the battle was fought on horses!
