Reverse Grip Bent-Over Rows..

i was always doing it with the normal bar but last time i tried the EZ bar just for a change and it was really better!!.. better for the wrist joint and also may allow you to go up more!!..

i always get way too much bicep involvement with reverse grip bb rows... over hand is the wya to go for me..preferably on a smith machine as well... this way, for me, much better lat workout

cambered bar is too narrow

shoulders width space between your hands is enough when doing this exercise with a reverse grip.. may be because you are too big you find it narrow ;D.. for me it works perfectly..

I use shoulder width on a cambered bar that's waaay too narrow hmmm I mostly do over hand rows because as tbomz said underhand hits bis a lot

does this mean you dont do any reverse grip exercise for back?.. all back reverse grip exercises hit biceps more, but still cant be ignored as important varieties..

you are saying that because of dorian's case?? ;D

actually i do both varaieties (not necessary on the same day) because I feel each of them hit the back in a different way.. I really believe the reverse grips helps to hit lats more.. the advantage with the overhand IMO is that you can use heavier weight..

only underhand work i do these days would be curl grip pulldowns,,, no need to place that little piano wire under anymore stress than it needs to be....

also, ive just started deadlifting again, this time round without the usual over hand underhand, takes a while to get used to when youve done it that way for years, but i dont get that pain in the forarm/bicep like i used to

no from personal experience ... ive had injuries to the lower biceps... they take a long time to heal...

Have you tried slowing down the movement?  If I do them fast, I seem to feel them in the biceps too, but slowly I can feel it much more in the lats.

Not a big fan of underhand but any of the other bars should be tried for rows, like an EZ bar or the triceps hammer grip. They can work the lats quite a bit harder than a normal straight bar. Never found the grip to be too close, as a medium or closer grip works the lats well for me both for rows and for pulldowns/chins.

Another good one is rows using 2 DBs with some straps. Some grips/bars really require straps in order to ensure the lats are fatigued before the grip goes.
