He was 226 there.

Same year Strydom took 5th at the Mr.O weighing 225 (overdieted but Dorian is shredded).

Dorian would have taken some serious scalps at the O that year.

When you see how big Dorian looked at 226 at his height,does anyone really believe the bodyweights quoted for someone like Dexter,who`s about 5-6 inches shorter and supposedly 10-20 lbs heavier.

Dorian was a hard worker, genetics didn't mean shit to him.

of course dorian's genetics are great in certain parts like his back, calves, &, triceps.. dont tell me he has these calves just because of hard training!!.. the rest of him is genetically ok but not super..

The early pictures show that Yates had incredible genetics for bodybuilding.  Low bodyfat before even picking up a weight, well proportioned, huge calves, low lat insertions.

After the 1985 Intermediate class that he won and he was picked for the World Games he did get a couple of sponsors,Ron Davies sponsored him at Muscle Machine,a gym in Birmingham.Then in 86 when he won the British he got quite a few guest posing spots that bought in some money and this helped to pave the way for opening Temple gym.As you`ve seen in early pics of the gym,it wasn`t anything fancy,so i doubt the outlay would have been much.
