after all these years
« on: August 10, 2009, 11:44:32 PM »
3-4 months ago I started not "giving a shit" about the bodybuilding lifestyle.

I drink 1-2 times a week.
I don't give a shit if I miss a meal here and there.
I only train for strenght, and I think it's much more fun and challenging

and guess what happened to my physique.....

FUCK ALL

I make the same "gains" I would have if I checked all my things religiously like I did before.

so fuck bodybuilding  :D
I feel like I missed a few good years of partying a bit with the friends

You're a good guy, but seriously, why neglect family, friends and fun just to get a bit bigger?

True story.

Any "enhanced" lifter can get away with anything and grow like a weed.

I know guys who eat and do whatever the fuck they want and they look great.

You're already a decent looking guy, you look tall, plus you're in shape.  Beyond that, whats the point?

well I look a bit "smoother" but who gives a shit.
I still see my abs so it's ok

I feel since I started training more "powerlifting" style, my traps, chest and shoulders have a better look

This is what I've been doing all my life. I look ok, nothing great..... but i drink myself into a coma most weekends, eat nowhere near enough protein, but still manage to look and lift better than a lot of guys "living the lifestyle".

EXACTLY

I don't get what is the point of having a great physique if you are not going to go out and try and get some tail out of it

i'm as narcissistic as the next guy but i can only stare at myself in the mirror for so many hours without getting bored

Yes i am now realisng this too. I was never that serious, but lately i have been about more carefree when it comes to meals, protein and shit and i see no change. Kinda just going by feel now. I eat when i'm hungry, eating quite a bit less protein and "going by feel" when it comes to training.
No doubt about it...

Yep, fotunately i didn't get too sucked in by the supps. A lot of guys my age spend heaps on supps looking for that magic pill/powder.

Like you said, all i do is protein shakes. Never noticed shit with creatine either.....

Creatine and some of the prohormones/prosteroids made a huge difference when I was your age.  It's all about finding what works for you.

Stavios, when you were young and naive, you believed the BS about pros eating just rice and chicken, or oatmeal and egg whites, eating 6 meals a day, training like the mags say, etc...

Somewhere along the line, you were bound to discover that a lot of that BS was just lies designed by the Weirder business empire, the bbing mags, and the supp companies to fool people.

You know the pros love the drugs (hormones and recreational), and you know a bit more or less rice or chicken isn't what makes the difference.

So shoot up a nice cocktail of test and nubain, take some diuretics and pee a bucket's worth, rub some crisco on urself, put on your shiniest, skimpiest thong, and go forth on the streets and find a homeless man to have a pose-down with.  :P
