There's a huge difference between 'what you learn in class' and what you're able to execute once the bell rings. 

I wasn't surprised that Gina left herself open for that, but I also wasn't that surprised when she was able to escape.  I thought that she would end up being submitted by a sneaky joint lock. 

That may have been Cyborg's only mistake, but it was just a positioning issue.  Gina doesn't know ground counters well at all, but she's strong. 

Gina didn't put on the show I expected which meant that Cyborg couldn't showcase all her skill, but all in all, it was a good fight.

like i told "swede" yesterday women fighting's a fucking joke and this fight proves it, as does the typical reaction to it.

when that shemale from Brazil put her in a situation, carano did not counter with technique, but just started being a chick about it, and started flailing her arms and clawing.

the fight was boring after 5 seconds, because it was much slower and it was two chicks with daddy issues standing in a ring.  when two dudes face each other, even if they're standing there, their stances and intensity alone makes the fight interesting to watch most of the time (unless it's Arlovski, who's just a pain to watch these days).

also, another reason it's a fucking joke, after seeing the clip, most dudes are saying "god, gina's hot", not even bothering to try to discuss the fight.

the japanese ones will only be big in japan (relatively big that is) as American promoters almost never push japanese talent
