While I agree that the IFBB stance on drugs is hypocritical, you can't expect Bob to do anything about it. Think of Bob as the head of the players' union in the MLB. Would you expect the players' union to petition Bud Selig to get tougher with steriod testing? No, because their job is to represent the athletes.

After Haney looked like Kareem   in 1990, the IFBB will never drug test the Olympia again.

When the athletes start complaining that they're not being tested, I'll be sure to address the issue on their behalf

They cant drug test ANY  pro show!!! Not one athlete would pass.Who is a natural pro????

better yet  whos a NATURAL amateur IFBB Pro champ?
I dont see any giving the RIGHT example on the cover of FLEX or in adds selling supps telling "you can do it NATURALLY too"...

What a Joke  that  IFBB LEAGUE is sounds more fake than the Justice league...and Bob given his way of thinking on the matter.....perfect tool for the job.

Not at all....it's not my job to enforce the IFBB and their position to test/ not test.....it's their choice.

Fair enough, I just thought that it seemed you were sticking up for them but at the same time being left in an awkward position is all

Powerlifters take out diuretics to piss out water? Why do they need that? I believe that 10-12 lbs is mostly water and fluids.

Some do use diuretics.

The report is about IFBB AMATEUR....which I have nothing to do with and have made no comments about

I deal only with the PRO league, which I said has the onus on THEIR part to test if they see fit...

What the hell are you talking about?

Why do powerlifters use diuretics? Do they need striated glutes as well?  :P

Okay one is winning the drug battle (in the IFBB amateur league)

While the other has been working for dacades to get bodybuilding in to the Olympics ....

In your opinion not as an athlete rep but as an Individual capable of emitting a judgment wich one is more delusional ?

This:

President's report: IFBB winning the battle against drugs
Flex, March, 2003 by Dean Brierly

FLEX magazine is proud to reprint in its entirety the annual President's Report, which was delivered by Ben Weider at the IFBB International Congress in Cairo, Egypt, on October 27, 2002.

In last year's report, I delivered a loud and clear message: Cheating, by using steroids and other drugs, is unacceptable in the IFBB and will not be tolerated. I am proud to report that we continue to make groundbreaking strides in that area. In response to recent policy changes by the International Olympic Committee and World Anti-Doping Agency, we have thoroughly updated the IFBB Doping Control Policy and Anti-Doping Program. This move to match the IOC's aggressive position will help ensure a level playing field for the vast majority of our bodybuilding athletes who practice sportsmanship and would never consider using drugs to gain an advantage.

Let me correct you, he's a retard with no integrity.

From the IFBB Pro Rules, I highlighted the interesting bits

Rule 1 – Introduction

1.3 Code of Ethics:
The Code of Ethics, which forms an integral part of the Pro Rules, is a set of
beliefs that have been written to serve as guidelines for the way in which all
Members, be they Athletes, Judges or Officials, should strive to conduct
themselves as Members of the Pro League.

APPENDIX 1
CODE OF ETHICS
Athletes:
We, the Pro League Athletes, realizing that our conduct reflects on the good
name of the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure, and realizing the
responsibility thereby placed upon us, pledge ourselves:

1. To fulfill our responsibility to society, to other Athletes, Judges and
Officials of the Pro League.
2. To honour, dignify, and support the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure
by competing in the best condition and to the best of our ability, and by
being in top shape when giving an exhibition or a seminar.
3. To respect our opponents on equal terms in the spirit of friendly rivalry and
good sportsmanship.
4. To respect the Constitution and Pro Rules as well as the rules of
competition and to observe them honestly in cooperation with other
Athletes, Judges and Officials.

5. To accept the decisions of the Judges and Officials in the spirit of good
sportsmanship without descending to selfish recriminations, realizing that
these decisions have been made honestly, fairly, and objectively.
6. To assist the Pro League in the promotion of bodybuilding, fitness and
figure by acting as a goodwill ambassador of the sport, promoting the sport
in a positive manner, and protecting the good image and integrity of the
sport and the Pro League.

7. To work for the Pro League, not against it, in promoting its values, morals
and ethics.

8. To exercise our right of protest in a courteous, respectful manner, following
the proper chain of command.
9. To refrain from malicious gossip and rumour-mongering.
10. To refrain from personal attacks against the Pro League or any Member of
the Pro League, or against the IFBB or any member of the IFBB.
11. To continue striving for bodily perfection and correct moral principles.
12. To honour the special trust conferred upon us by our participation in, and by
our representation of, the Pro League and our country, at international
events, and to adhere to the standards of personal conduct expected of us.

13. To recognize the value of bodybuilding, fitness and figure and to promote
its future by serving as an example to inspire other people to participate.
14. To cooperate with our Officials in the development of high standards, both
moral and physical, for the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure and in
the progressive furtherance of the objects of the Pro League.
15. To oppose the use of banned substances and methods.
16. To refrain from any conduct that may be considered prejudicial.
17. To conduct ourselves at all times in a manner that reflects positively upon
the image of the sport of bodybuilding, fitness and figure, and the Pro
League and IFBB.

And here are Chic's views on the Code of Ethics, integral part of the IFBB Pro Rules

SOUNDS good

Again...I'm at a loss.

The IFBB amateur has reported that they are making strides to mirror the testing of the IOC, etc.....so whats your point?
