This is one of my few attempts at *drawing*… a portrait. Its drawn in one of the most difficult mediums you can use - stone, hard compressed charcoal. A medium that can not be erased, adjusted or fucked with. The stuff stains the paper.. i drew this in kind of the same manner you would produce an etching, in this case, many thousands of individual, exacting, precisely place strokes. countless strokes. Not bad for a first attempt, and comparable to masters of the craft.
I have drawn very little since childhood, very few drawings. I’ve painted very few paintings in my life.. I started very late.
That water color? Was my very first, and only, attempts at that medium, another difficult medium to use, one of my very first paintings. Then again, I've painted so few paintings, especially for a guy who makes his living as an artist... by numbers alone, all of my paintings are still beginner status.
I did some comic stuff as a kid, that would be considered *brutal ownage* if you were to compare it to the comic stuff elsewhere in this thread.
I don’t expect much of this to hit home, sink in, or hold weight.. to a person that has no clue what they’re talking about when it comes to artistic ability… just an fyi none the less
