I don't understand the bashing either but Bob takes it all in stride. 8)

The most important thing I'll ever hear Bob say is....

"And now the next name I announce will be the 2009 Mr. Olympia................. ........................ ........................ ........................ ...  So please take the Sandow Trophy, and the check to competitor "X"....KAI GREENE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"


The audience errupts with gasps of astonishment and cheers of delight as something rare has happened.  The person that looked the best won the Sandow....Phil tries to play it off and congratulates Kai and all other bodybuilders show up on stage and hug Kai and shake his hand in congratulatory manner.  People in crowd are crying tears of joy and the haters are screaming "bullshit", Jay, Phil, Dex, or Wolf should have one.  Getbig goes into overdrive and everyone congratulates Wiggs for being a Kai Schmoe...oh brother ::) and people photoshop grapefruits with a crown, the Sandow and grapefruit and talk about how X was screwed and how Kai's posing routine was gay and there will be one surprise.  One of the people we have chosen to be in the top six will end up looking like crap and barely make top 10 or place out of the top 10.  There will be a darkhorse crowned a future Mr. O.
There will be thread asking where does X go from here.

Yes, Bob takes it in stride, although some of the comments are way over the top.

Bottom line is, Bob is a industry figure which does a lot, including emceeing the Olympia, IFBB past competitor, signed contracts with a variety of companies and much more.

In terms of business, Bob understands and gets the whole thing.

Some of you may not like him, but he has persevered!

Actually, there are a number of people here who do work out, train and compete.  But there are always the ones who just like to complain about everything.  Hence, this is a fan site, whereas a lot of us do not compete, which is fine.

here you go again fence walker:  nobody dislikes chick.  guys on here die for a keyboard fire fight.  it's the nature of the board.  that's about it.  shawn ray was good at it too until he got a cheque for MD or whoever.  king, melvin, phil, and others were looking for fan boys i guess but it dont work that way on getdumb.   it's nice chick even bothers.  he plays along nicely.   good job...chick.

Ron...it is rather silly trying to equate running a top sign to procuring Sechedule III drugs off the black market. One will land you in jail, and a felony record, and the other..a small ticket. They are no where close to being in the same league.
