As Chick has said previously, it's all about match-ups.
Kai and Jay- If Kai doesn't win, I'd like Jay to win but in all honesty, What does Jay have over Kai?
Conditioning-Kai FDB- Jay Lat spread - Kai Side Chest - Kai Ab and thigh - Kai BDB - Kai Back lat spread - Jay Side Tricep - tie
BTW you can say both are fridges...
Then you have Heath and Vic...If Vic can make the first callout, this will be a key matchup because they are so similar in size and structure
Conditioning - Heath FDB - Vic lat spread - Vic Side Chest - Vic Back double bicep - tie Abs and Thigh - Tie Back lat spread - Vic Side Tricep- Heath
It looks odd that Vic wins so many and yet I don't have him in the first callout only because of his conditioning.
if you throw Dex in that confuses things.
Conditioning - Dex and Heath FDB - Dex Side Chest - Vic BDB - three way tie Abs and Thigh - Dex Back lat spread - Vic Lat spread - Vic Side Tricep - Heath
Throw in Wolf and Freeman only problem is we don't know what Wolf will look like as it has been a year since his last show and he wasn't at his best. I'm gonna say that he beats Freeman as time is on his side and he is improving and Freeman isn't.
You have some oddballs like Melvin and Branch and don't forget about Silvio and Troy Alves.
Overall a very exciting show. However it goes people are going to be upset. I just hope it's judged fairly.

Any one of the top 6 could take it this year. P.S. My top 6 is Wolf, Toney, Kai, Jay, Heath, Dex. No particular order.

omg..rofl..
if you have anyone in front of Dex for FDB then you are on drugs...
the FDB is what wins Dex the Mr.O.
no one is even close to his FDB...in fact, no one has ever had a FDB as good.

FUCKIN'-A, SMART THREAD, WIGGS! Somebody actually engaging in bb discussion instead of schmoe-busting, LOL...
Here's my take on said match-ups:
Jay has looked VERY good leading up to this Olympia compared to years past, I dare say he's trying to recapture his 2001 condition. Let's give him benefit of the doubt and say he does. (A stretch, I know, but hey, we're speculating, right? Well, then, let's speculate.)
If Jay shows up AT HIS BEST @ 260 lbs vs Kai @ 260 lbs (assuming he's in ASC form, if not better...)
Muscularity - Jay Conditioning - Kai Symmetry - Jay Front Double Bi - Jay Front Lat Spread - Kai Side Chest - Jay Side Tri - Jay Rear Lat Spread - Kai (Can't believe you gave this one to Jay!) Back Double Bi - Kai Ab n' Thigh - Jay
IF JAY IS NOT AT HIS BEST, HOWEVER.....THEN IT'S KAI IN A LANDSLIDE.
Heath vs. Vic . . . Heath in a shutout, imho. Not even close.
Dex vs Heath...
Muscularity - Dex for muscle hardness and density, if less total hanging muscle than Heath per sq. in. Conditioning - Dex Symmetry - Heath FDB - Heath FLS - Dex SC - Tie ST - Heath RLS - Dex BDB - Heath AnT - Dex
DEAD EVEN, IMHO...
AND IF THE WOLF GETS IN THOSE COMPARISONS . . . HOOOWEEE ITTA BE A BATTLE!
The only thing that Kai has over Jay is conditioning NOTHING more. Victor Has Phil on the width Department NOTHING more. Dexter Has Phil on the Back thickness NOTHING more. Phil has them ALL in every single body part & condition wise. My top 5 are: 1-Phil (will be the most improved and conditioned guy of the show) 2-Victor (if he duplicates his 07 Mr. O look) 3-Jay ( may fall in second if he succeeds his best showing Mr. O 01) 4-Dexter ( I don’t expect any major improvement. However, I have a feeling that he will scarify his condition by some added pounds) 5-Kai (IMHO he is so overrated, the man looks good only from the back and he has good quads too NOTHING more) 6-WOLF ( I expect to see great improvements on his physique) Cannot wait more for one of the best if not the best Olympia ever

If this thing wasn't corrupt Wolf would win. Heath - too narrow. Dex - too small. Jay - huge waist. Kai, Vic and Wolf are top 3 in a fair world.
Corrupt in many shows but Vic can't beat Heath anymore, now he has a few weaknesses that outweigh anything Heath brings. Wolf unless greatly improved doesn't approach Heath or Kai.

Whichever way you cut it, you can't deny the fact that this is the strongest top seven line-up in Mr O history. Trying to predict the first call-outs is impossible IMO. There's about three or four guys who could realistically win it.

That is highly arguable. Heath's arms crush Dex's, everything else they are even from the front save abs. Dex has better abs.

Mo is a good bodybuilder, but no way in hell does he make the top six with a line up this deep. Unless a bunch of guys show up looking like shit, he'll be lucky if he's in the top 10. I think alnassak's Top 6 looks pretty good, although I could see Freeman getting in there somewhere. Unless Wolf makes major improvements to his arms and lower lats, I think Tony's physique is more complete. Phil's only downfall will be his narrow structure. I think if Vic's leg is up to par and he can match or improve conditioning of '07, he could take it. I know everyone talks about the 80's and early 90's as being bbing's best years, but we have quite a few legitimate contenders now and imo its just as exciting this year and I believe it will only get better in the next couple of years. Its going to be close for awhile...that is of course if Ronnie's time off allows him to heal the pinched nerve that was affecting his left side and he comes into the 2010 Olympia and just shits on everybody. A healthy Ronnie means everybody else is fighting for 2nd.
