The whole damn thing was a lie.
1. "We are going to save money by finding waste fraud and abuse." Why do we need a new health plan if they can do that right now and save 200 billion?
The answer??? They cant, wont, and never have. Lie No. 1.
2. Lie No. 2 - Illegal aliens wont be covered. Yes they will, and once they fget amnesty later this year, they will qualify. That was lie No. 2.
3. Lie No. 3. "You can keep your own insurance". No you cant, employers are going to be forced into dumping everyone onto the public plan since insurance premiums will skyrocket due to all these new conditions placed on carriers.
4. Lie No. 4. "This wont add to the deficit". The CBO already debunked this many times.
5. Lie No. 5. "This wont cover abortion". of course it will and by not having explicit language in the bill, abortion will be covered.
6. Lie No. 6. "This will bring down costs". Impossible. How do you add 45 million new patients to a program, no new doctors, from a pool odf mostly poor people without raising costs? Its impossible.
7. Lie No. 7. "There wont be rationing". Again, only a moron believes this. You cant add 45 million new people to a system, with no new doctors or providers, and not have rationing. Its impossible.
8. Lie No. 8. "We will do tort reform". Howard Dean admitted this was never going to happen because of the tort lawyers.
