“There are more,” Mike Flynn, Editor-in-chief of new site BigGovernment.com, told HUMAN EVENTS in an exclusive interview this afternoon regarding the number of undercover films exposing ACORN. Flynn would not reveal the location of the ACORN office where the latest video was filmed, but he said, “It’s a slightly different discussion in this one than you’ve seen so far.” The video should break around 9 p.m. EST.

Flynn said this is not the last one, either. “There are more after that. It is amazing. Stay tuned.”

Last Thursday, Sept. 10, BigGovernment.com launched with an exclusive video showing workers at an ACORN office in Baltimore advising an undercover investigator how to hide his prostitution business under federal tax laws. Once the video started getting attention from TV news, more videos filmed in offices in New York, Washington D.C., and San Bernadino, Calif. were released. Every office where the team filmed exposed a similar response.

Reaction to the videos is ongoing. ACORN has fired four members of its staff. The Census Bureau cut ties with the organization, which means that ACORN will not be involved in the 2010 census. The statement from the Bureau to ACORN stated, “We no longer have confidence that our national partnership agreement is being effectively managed through your offices.” Finally, the Senate voted 83-7 Monday to pass an amendment introduced by Sen. Mike Johanns (R.-Neb.) that would block the Housing and Urban Development department of the Federal government from funding ACORN.

Flynn called the reaction to the videos a “tidal wave” that no one could have anticipated. “When James [O’Keefe] came to me after he’d done these tapes, I could not believe it,” he said. “If he had told me ahead of time what he was planning to do, I would have said ‘You’re crazy, you’ll never get anything.’ It’s not even just one random employee, it’s so comprehensive, it’s everywhere he went. What shocks me is when you watch the videos, they don’t even flinch.”

Andrew Breitbart, the man behind BigGovernment.com, has a gift for timing. BigGovernment.com joins his “Breitbart.com” news site and group blog “BigHollywood.com” as a new foray into “alternative” media. The launch was moved up due to the videos, Flynn said, but the new site had been in the works for awhile as a response to the current political landscape. Breitbart has more sites planned for the future. “Big Government was probably fifth or sixth on the list [last year], and then with the change of policy and how the proposals have been put forward, it [was] bumped to number one,” Flynn said. “There are a bunch more planned, but I don’t have any kind of timeline for that. … [What’s next would] depend on how news is developed and what people are talking about.”

The idea behind BigGovernment.com, like most Breitbart sites, is part of a bigger vision: the philosophy that big government is bad for our country. Contributors are expected to post information and insights into political news on a variety of topics. Flynn named health care, budget, the stimulus and bailouts as examples. He also promised more investigative journalism. “The central issue behind every issue that’s being discussed … is the size and scope of government,” he said. Big Hollywood launched with a list of four contributors that has expanded daily and will eventually include elected officials, activists and think tank analysts, according to Flynn. “What we want to do is aggregate [information] together so that the average Joe Public will have a place to go to find out what they need to weigh in as these policies are debated,” he said.

Writing in his first post on the site, Flynn dedicated the site to the Americans who have attended Tea Parties and town halls in order “to tell the government, ‘No!’” Flynn wrote, “[T]o suggest that health care alone is at the root of this backlash is to miss the forest for the trees.”

In other words, BigGovernment.com aims to cover the whole forest. “There’s a lot more to the Big Government site than just the ACORN videos, and you will see that in the coming months,” Flynn said. It is a beginning. Frustrated Americans protesting in the midst of the forest and looking for more trees to fall can expect sympathetic contributors to keep sawing away at BigGovernment.com.

I told you ACORN was a criminal enterprise and I am being proven right with each passing day.  Their whole existence is crime whether its pushing fraudulent loans, giving advise to commit tax fraud, election fraud, etc.  They also need to immediately have their 501 C3 certificate revoked.

JPMorgan Chase Asked to Stop Funding ACORN

According to the 2007 tax return for the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, the most recent available, ACORN Housing, Inc. was the recipient of a million dollar grant in 2007.  Another grant of $25,000 was made to the ACORN Institute. In a letter to Dimon, I warned:

Continued identification with ACORN harms the company’s brand name and reputation, and carries special risks for this company, a recipient of taxpayer TARP funds. The New York Times has identified you as President Obama’s “favorite banker.”

Yesterday, the Senate voted 83-7 to bar grants to ACORN from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). If it is inappropriate for HUD to fund ACORN, it is also inappropriate for a public company like JPMorgan Chase to do so.

The Senate action came in the wake of the controversy over the recent undercover videotape taken at an office of ACORN Housing, Inc. in Baltimore. ACORN employees counseled a couple purporting to be a pimp and prostitute on how to qualify for a home loan and falsify tax forms to allow 13 underage girls from El Salvador to work as prostitutes.

Last week, the Census Bureau notified ACORN that it was severing ties with the group, which was serving as a “partner” in raising awareness about the census. In a letter to ACORN President Maude Hurd, Census Director Robert Groves wrote:

…it is clear that ACORN's affiliation with the 2010 Census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 Census efforts.

Because JPMorgan Chase & Co. does not disclose its charitable giving (as many other public companies do), we do not know what support the company itself has provided ACORN and/or its affiliates. It is obvious, however, that the relationship is substantial and longstanding, especially when including predecessor banks and loan programs administered through ACORN and its affiliates.

I pointed out in my letter:

JPMorgan Chase’s support for ACORN and/or its affiliates would violate its own policies. According to the JPMorgan Chase website, support is precluded to “programs designed to promote religious or political doctrines.”

ACORN and its affiliates have a very definite political doctrine. It is to undermine democracy and smash capitalism.

Videotapes made at ACORN offices in New York City and Washington, DC suggest that the Baltimore episode was not an isolated event. Even before these incidents, ACORN and its affiliates were accused of voter registration fraud in 14 states. On July 23, Representative Darrell Issa, Ranking Minority Member of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, released an 88-page report concluding that ACORN “has repeatedly and deliberately engaged in systemic fraud.”

ACORN has also been plagued with an internal financial scandal. Dale Rathke, brother of ACORN founder Wade Rathke, embezzled nearly $1 million. He was removed from the ACORN board only after the matter became public several years later.

With the public outraged at the excess and corruption on Wall Street, ACORN is the last group that JPMorgan Chase should be supporting. It is time for Jamie Dimon to act.

as far as that meth addict in the ACORN office, the cops actually checked it out and thought it might be credible.  Who else admits to murder on video?  Obviously she was demented, HOWEVER, she counseled tax and loan fraud just like all the other offices and is why a RICO action is going to be filed.

that video looked authentic.  I saw no reason to believe otherwise..  If that lady lied, that's her stupidity, not the investigator.  She also decided to play along with them when the only thing should should have been doing was saying, "sorry we don't do that here, it's against the law"  Instead she gave them advice based on her fictional bullshit?  oh great, that's much better... not...

This. I've been hesitant to even post in any of these ACORN threads because this post is so goddamned true. Obviously, some serious housecleaning needs to be done with this organization. The actions of the employees are indefensible. That doesn't mean these employees are following company orders and that the entire organization is a criminal enterprise. ACORN should take a tip from these investigators and fire the dirtbags without a second thought. But make no mistake, this is a political witchhunt that proves nothing about the ACORN organization as a whole. Hugo - I agree with you and did not want it to mean that they alone caused the mess.  there were many corrupt players in the mix of housing.   

When I said "heart of" i meant the act of falsyfing mortgage apps to qualify for loans that otherwise were not worthy of a loan.
