These days I do 2-3 sets of 10 with 315 and it works for me. A couple of years ago when I was more intense and was on a decent amount of gear I would squat up to 550 for 2-4 reps on heavy days and some days I would stop at 405 and rep for 15. One day I was feeling really good and got 405 for 20. All below parallel. At the time I wieghed around 200lbs give or take a few. Those days are over due to injuries and I don't have the desire to compete anymore. What's funny is my legs are about the same size so works for me
. I have always referred to a bbing style squat as not below parallel. I always referred to a power lifting/olympic squat as below parallel which is how I was taught.
