Duck says that ESP's = teh cool, but you'll probably do well with tons of guitars though. Why not go down to your local music store and try out a shitload of guitars for a day or so?

I love ESP's myself,  I own a really nice Eclipse,  Black on Black,  Duncan Blackout pickups.  I was thinking something  along the lines of Paul Gilbert's Ibanez.  I like the look of the Fholes.

Dime played MLs and Razorbacks buddy.  I'm a lefty and the Lefty Razorback that Dean makes is not my style.  Kind of ugly.

Man Bear Pig I think you are thinking of Dimebag's  Dime Slime green Washburn ML he played on that album,  I think he was with Washburn for that album.

I absolutely LOVE the sound of the single coil, the humbucker, not so much- but maybe its a matter of getting used to it.

My favorite true single coil pickups are the EMG David Gilmour set,  I used to have  a strat with the Yngwie Dimarzio set up and I just didn't like it for anything but soloing.   I pulled those out and put a lil JB and a mini 59 in and was very pleased with my tone.

Dime started playing Dean, Dean later went out of business and he was sponsored by Wasburn. When Dean reopened their doors around 1999 Dime left Washburn and when back to Dean.

Dean= great guitars

Washburn= not so great guitars

i hate strats.  pickup tone kills at high volumes.

love les pauls.  harmonc squals for hours.

PRS ain't so bad either.  more expensive.

When I was a kid i took a klass to learn the chords- And thanks Once again I must emphacise (spelling?) that its not my kind of music- But its fun to try to jam over something in another genre than usual.
