good rice recipe
« on: September 30, 2009, 01:10:46 PM »
i eat alot and im always looking for ways to make high carb high protein low fat foods more palatable, they can get old after a while, and i cant eat garbage at EVERY meal.

try this out

rice  for when you eating chicken as a protein source=

buy a box of rice-a-ronie chicken flavor (with vermicelli)
instead of water, use chicken broth.
dont use any butter.

rice when your eating steak or gorund beef as a protien source=

buy abox of rice-a-ronie beef flavor (with vermicili)
instead of water, use beef broth(beef consume is basically the same thing)
dont use any butter

both taste awesome. got the idea from my fiance who eats rice at pretty much every meal (unless shes eating fried plantains or some other traditional dish)

i was going to say, and its even better cuz it has a picture of the golden gate bridge on te box!

everybody has to love frisco, im headed out there on friday for a marjuana picnic at hippy hill. any getbiggers in frsco are welcome to come hangout with me and my woman.

on a more related topic, one box of rice a ronie yeilds about 150grams carbs. i had one box beef with 10ounces tri tip and one half canatalopue for breakfast this morning. right now im sitting down to one box chicken with 10 ounces chicken and half a canatloupe.  :P

or you can just pour in half a can of "mild" rotel tomatoes in it.

you know, normally i do like some fat on my starch. the combo definitely is scrumptious. last night i was eatign tons of dinner rolls baked with butter in them them buttered again after baking. yum!  (not to mention the gallon of pumpkin pie ice cream i had for dessert!  ;D)

but on rice i dont like butter at all. it amkes it too squishy. yuck.

If you are going to use salt. Use Kosher salt.
i almost never use salt. i don't see how some people completely cover their food with that shit

I don't know about the nutritional aspects, but Basmati rice is sooo delicious, even by itself.
