Bwahaha, you really don't get it. It was an armed student who caused the massacre. If every hormonal/disillusioned student happened to have a gun with him when he's feeling sh!tty for 'self-defence' then it'd just multiply the potential massacres.
Here in England our students can't even get fire-arms in the first place, so we don't have massacres.
I think the whole American logic that it's everyone's right to bear firearms to defend themselves is what leads to the insane gun-related death figures that you guys have. We have a handful a year, you guys are in the thousands. I know gangs and stuff are a lot to do with it, but here our gang-members find it a lot harder to get hold of guns.
Over there I imagine you think that if EVERY gang-member had a gun it would prevent future gang-related murders because they could shoot certain gang members before they accumulate more victims

NO ONE ever claimed all students should carry just the ones that wish should be able to protect themselves , and obviously you don't know what it takes to get a concealed carry permit in this country but they don't just hand them out to anyone who applies .
And any hormonal/disillusioned student bent on hurting another isn't going to stop because they don't have a gun and obviously you don't want any mentally ill people carrying firearms

No but they're is rash of stabbings in the UK , prohibition isn't the answer guns aren't the problem they're nothing more than tools to be subject to misuse it's the persons intent is the problem

legal right to carry a firearm you should be able to do so even on campus to protect yourself , which some Americans make it illegal for others to do so . They keep passing laws that hurt the
legal gun owners instead of already enforcing the ones that are already on the books.
People who's intent is to do harm to others are swayed by signs that say " Gun-free school zone " these people aren't going to load up the guns and stop because they see this sign and think " Gee looks like I can't murder everyone because it says gun-free zone ' it's senseless laws like these that make it illegal for people to protect themselves

We don't think everyone should carry firearms , we don't think it would solve everything if they did , we do think that law abiding Americans should be able to carry their firearm on campus to protect themselves and maybe others if they so desire
