Written is hard enough let alone the lab. Back 10 years agao there were only 6 testing centers in the world.
1 or 2 in North America.

outsourcing happens more with programming...you cant outsource IT(cause its in real time...code isn't)..ESPECIALLY in the DC area....companies DONT let people VPN into their core network (even though its pretty safe)

CCVP is good now a days although i dont recommend getting a CCIE voice unless u have routing and switching...

learn how to route and switch first....then move on from there...

i plan on my CCIE in ISP afterwards...

took it(the lab) once back in 2002 but i wasn't serious....but cause of my teaching CCNP (R n S) i'm a MUCH stronger CCIE candidate now and i plan on passing...  (i'm a CCSI..cisco cert systems instructor)

if you need to recert your CCNP do it now...they r adding MPLS to the CCNP on the 18th of this month...and the CCIE written/lab is also gonna change...i say..facking bring it!   i want my # to be under 25k

also the IOS is changing to IOX in about 2 yrs...more unix like

I am working on my MS in Cyber Security.  I have taken the CCIE once and just took the Written again a month ago and hope to take the lab again next year.  I'm also typing this in my CCNA class I am teaching.  A lot in common with Toxic work wise, huh?

hey mang!  are you a CCSI also??   i teach CCNP and CCNA bootcamp and everynow and then i'd give my students a lab and come on here and post!

i might be switching to global knowlodge soon!  first time i took the lab i went and partied the night before...BAD idea...

lemme ask you...did you also find the written actually easier than the CCNP routing test?
