Moore is correct on the FBI account. But the facts that drove the banks to create and push preditory lending is never addressed in Moore's movies. The facts are the facts and it starts way back during the Carter Admin. The push to have lower income people purchase homes started way back then. It stalled a bit at the end of his term and through Reagan and Bush Sr. But during Clinton's admin it was awakened to where ground swell groups in large, like ACORN, Working Family, etc.. strong-armed banks into approving loans for people who could not afford them. Now, many people got super rich on this at the banks and they are at fault as well, and so many politicians in the Bush Jr. and Obama admin too. Names like Chuck Shumer (sp?), Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Pelosi, etc... During the Bush Jr. admin in 2004 the House and Senate denied the GOB and chance of setting new regulations to spearhead a fix before the claims the housing market will collapse if something doesn't change. I recall Frank stating; "I would rather err on the side of letting people buy homes then fix something that is not broken. Fannie Mae... is not broken". So, I ask you, why not do a documentary on the collapse of the housing market? Why not investigate this instead of CIA tactics? Does anyone care about the way the CIA handled the interrogations of terrorists?? Polls show the American people don't. But, like all govt's in power, they will protect themselves. Too many people made too much money in the Obama admin and they hold all the cards.
