Well the vampires, Hollywood has sexualized them, thanks in part to the Ann Rice books. You know, supposedly undead pasty skinned Blood suking men who are asexual, have now become undead pasty skinned blood sucking men who can now hace such sexual charisma that they can think the panties off of a woman, in fact they can have any woman they want.

Vampires have been sexualized back to Polidori's day, and before that it was the incubus, etc. The archetype has been around a long, long time.

perhaps you should read some Bram Stoker. the 1897 Dracula was very sexualized

Yeah I forgot that. The victorian era very concerned about those topics. The sexualization of the undead and blood sucker is odd to me. I think that because in most societies, blood is a symbol for passion and power, the use of pretty women is like that of all monster stories, the horror of losing what is most precious to man, his woman. Especially to a evil monster, it makes the story more suspenseful.

There are the incubus and the succubus (female versions). I agree with you. But if you look at way Hollywood has portrayed them as highly sexualized pasty skinned skinny twinks, in the goth vain, it's almost the anti-thesis of what is manly or what has been portrayed as manly.

In fact the first succubus was a female, it was Lillith, Eve's predesuccessor. She came before any incubus.
