Comparing the US to Third World countries is stupid. Yes, South Africa -- and 90% of the world -- has it worse, but that's not the point. America is supposed to lead the world, and was founded on "all men are created equal," liberties, democracy and other high ideals. The U.S. is supposed to strive towards that shit.

The Black-American-Men-don't-have-it-as-bad-as-Africans argument is pointless. The issue being raised is that there is still rampant racism in the US (which I think most would agree on), and we should work towards eliminating it.

Also, I don't think Blacks or other minorities are "blaming the majority of white people." I think they're just pointing out that racism still exist, and is still institutionalized (like in law enforcement).

Well, I must say...

If they didn't have black pageants, then black women would rarely win.
Not because they aren't as pretty, but because most people are biased,
and their idea of beauty is not the same as another culture's.
The only way you can have a fair pageant is if A:you have unbiased judges(almost impossible),
or B:you have an equal number of black and white people running the show.

Now the only exception to B, is if Tiger Woods is one of the judges.
If that's the case, the black woman still probably won't win.

But really, is anything ever totally fair?
