Hey Straw - what is CA passed a law setting a database to track your internet browsing history?

The law is supposed to catch child predators and stalkers.

Are you ok with that?

I'd be fine with that as long as we're talking about a state law

you'll do the same too right.

please remind me when we're discussing a law in your state and I'm be happy to stay out of it

I trust we'll hear nothing more from you on this thread
lol no i wont do the same i dont hold the same idiotic train of thought as you but apparently b/c i dont live in CA i cant have an opinion or nobody should listen to my opinion on things that go on within that state.

I think i should and ppl should listen but if you comment on other state issues outside of yours that makes you a hypocrite...

It starts in CA and then other states get their bright ideas.  The hysterical thing about this is now the state will probably lose millions in sales tax revenue and then propose hiking taxes on ammo to make up for the shorfall and engage in this endless cycle of liberal stupidity.

It needs to be stopped everywhere.

I wouldn't doubt it's already allowed by the Patriot Act or something else.

Everytime they catch one of these weirdos LE always seems to know exactly what they were looking at on the computer.

The worst thing you'd see on my browser is the ridiculous about of time I waste on GB.

I do find it weird how both sides line up on issues like this.

I've owned guns (dont' have any at the moment) and it never bothered me at all to have to wait to buy one and it woudn't bother me in the slightest bit that store has to keep track of who buys the ammo.

I have no problem with the background check for the gun license itself, but not for ammo.   This presents so many privacy and others issues its not funny.

This is a no brainer.  It's modeled after successful city ordinances in Sacremento and LA (i.e. it's already in place in two very large cities) and it has the support of law enforcemnt

It also requires the safe storage of handgun ammunition in stores and that all handgun ammunition sales be completed in face-to-face transactions.

bottom line - if you own an illegal gun it's just a bit more difficult to get ammo without creating a papertrail.

An added bonus is it makes guys like 333 even crazier and that's always good for a laugh

Where are the stats for that?

BTW - most cops I know could not give a shit about civil rights or liberties.

Good have a laugh at my expense while your rights are eroded daily.  You are such a lemming.

This is going to destroy local gun stores.

Good job liberals.  More unemployment and loss of sales tax revenue.
arnold signed it.  law enforcement pushed for it and you're only blaming liberals ::)

Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger has done more to hurt gun rights than Democrat Barack Obama.

I'm not sure this law will have a devastating impact.  Whenever I buy ammo, it's usually 10 boxes a pop and I pay with my debit card.  That alone leaves an audit trail law enforcement can follow.  And I wouldn't think the majority are paying in cash, though I don't have any stats on it.

And stop laughing at us, Evil Hugo...

1.  Arnold is a RINO liberal.

2.  Where did the bill originate?  Do i need to do a third grade civics lesson with you libs?  The CA legislature where this disgrace originated is run by who again?  Ill let you guess how it got to the gov's desk.

3.  Can we discuss the merits or lack thereof of this instead of it devolving into nonsense like 240 is posting?

1
So you get to pick/choose which repub party members are at the table?  Nope.  He's in the party.  They can kick him out if they'd like.

2
Why the heck didn't Arnold veto this piece of crap bill?  I have no clue where it orginiated, but I betch it wasn't obama's desk.

3
Why nonsense did I post?  You accused liberals of it.  I pointed out that the most liberal member of congress, and most lib present in 30 years, sure hasn't gone after guns.  But the man high-fiving mccain/palin in october did.  You do the math ;)

333, I never heard of this bill until this morning.

this is from the first post:  AB 962 by Assembly Member Kevin DeLeon (D-Los Angeles) had the support of law enforcement officials from across the state and was modeled after successful city ordinances, including the cities of Sacramento and Los Angeles. AB 962 was the Brady Campaign´s top priority bill in this year´s legislature.

do you have a CT?

is there someone else involved?

why didn't Arnold veto this bill?

why are you intentionally skipping the fact that law enforcement obviously pushed for this?  They're actually the strongest anti-gun voice in America and liberal they are not.

"Law enforcment community" could not give a crap about the 2nd amendment.  The Brady Campaign is as authoritarian as it gets.

Hugo - Im confused.  You bitched about a DNA database yet are ok with an ammo database?

This is why  most (NOT ALL) liberals are a joke.  They could not give a rats ass about freedom or privacy so long as it does not involve abortion.  As soon as abortion is in the equation, they freak.
