not sure what the percentage is of men that take aas into their 40's, 50's and beyond, but just a thought is there a certain age where taking aas is kind of pointless and stupid and yes, even dangerous?
i'm talking either being a big user who cycles off and on down to the user who uses very light and mild cycles on and off.
at one point ( is there?) where aas usage at a certain age is not feasible in that it's either dangerous or doesn't work anymore and stuff.
not to mention if your of a certain age and you don't even compete anymore?
As some of the other guys have said, being in your 40's or 50's is a prime time to take it. Your test levels are naturally lower, your sex drive is lower, you lose muscle tissue at a more rapid rate than any time in your life...when I speak of muscle tissue here, I'm not talking about going from 250lbs ripped to 170lbs soaking wet...I'm talking about the basic muscle tissue we all need to live and function as healthy as we can. If nothing else, a solid regular dose of testosterone would greatly help all of this...that's one of the reasons it can be very easy for men in this age group to get an HRT script and in some cases, have it covered by their insurance.
As for taking AAS for bodybuilding purposes at this age, guys have been doing it for years...the benefits are still greatly there. As for the risk, keep an eye on your health. That's the best you can do whether you're taking AAS, HGH or not.
