Don't you think that NFL would've diffused into something as good as you hype it up to be, seeing as The Superbowl is "the most watched sports event in the world"? I've never heard of a World Cup of Gridiron.

Just because people have a passing interest in a game, doesn't mean they actively participate in/have passion for it. And the same goes the other way. The head of AIG said it best when they sponsored Man U's kit. He said he didn't do it for the European market, he did it for Asia. China is huge for football (and basketball) but don't have the greatest infrastructure for it. India is a different kettle of fish altogether.
But that's alright, you've got your Superbowl half-time show and an ailing economy.
