Yates didnt agree with Mentzer 100%


Yates knew that one set of say....squats and flat bench presses would stimulate some fibers....

But he knew that if he didnt do hacks squats too, his outer thigh sweep would eventually diminish

likewise, if he didnt do incline presses, his upper pecs would shrink




Yates didnt blindly follow Mentzer or Jones. Yates hit each bodypart from multiple angles (Back: Nautilus Pullovers, Reverse grip Hammer Pulldowns, Barbell Bent Rows, Hammer One Arm Rows, Deadlifts)

one pf you stated earlier your version of 3 set training.... the 1st 2 sets were warm ups,,, what do u think one set traiing amounts too,,, for me, its building up to one propper set, pyramiding your way up, but not pretending those light sets that arent taken to full failure are work sets...

eg.. bb row   40k x 14, 80k x10, 100k x 8........ 110kx8

that for me is the way i aproach it.
