The Thurmanator
« on: October 26, 2009, 07:01:22 PM »
Saw on "Man vs Food" last night that "many Powerlifters head to the Thurman Cafe to prepare for meets at the Arnold Classic by eating The Thurmanator."

Anyone here had one?

We have a joint next door who routinely serves 400 gram burgers - only $15.

(That's almost 1 lbs for all you metrically challenged yanks ;D)

thats not that uncommon around where I live.  theres a local cafe that serves doubles with burgers that weigh half a pound COOKED.   those things are freaking huge.  and good.

Last night the show was on and he was in Philadelphia at some cheesesteak place and had to eat a 5 lb cheesesteak sandwich in one hour.  I think I could have done it.  He did it in 28 min.

LOL this place is in tomball, tx a suburb of houston i have some buddies that live out there(kinda redneckish as you can see  ;D)

but they have a burger thats like 2lbs of meat a lb of bacon and all the fixings and if you finish it in like a certain amount of time you get a free one next time you come back.

My buddy tried it when he was in high school and said he was sick for 2 days afterwards  ;D

I havent ever tried it but that place has some good home cooking and fried mushrooms the size of your fist.
