Note that for a workout that's dip or pullup-centric, you might want to do something else in the warmup.

Using this as an example of a warm-up, this is rediculous for the type of workouts they do.

1. You never stretch before a warm-up, you stretch AFTER.

2. Exept for the overhead squat, there is no mobility warm-up, no kind of activation work.

The idea of doing power exercises (olympic lifts) as part of volume training is absurd at best. It's designed for stimulating the CNS and creating explosive power, not muscular endurance. It's takes along time to perfect an olympic lift and these clowns try to teach it in one workout.

Also, the idea of these "muscle up" movements are dangerous at best. Unless you're a gymnast, don't do them.

The positive side of crossfit, might be the conditioning. Also, they have a great selection of exercises, they just have to learn how to apply them. Crossfit has been sued numerous times for injury related things and now has to be self-ensured. When ever a company has to self-ensure....it's not a good thing!

Anyway, those are just a few of the reasons why I'm against crossfit. They're only as good as the instructor.

Thanks Matt. Youtube banned that one and I think I witnessed the events that led to it. I was showing it to someone at the Apple Store and walked away when it was done. Some woman came over and hit play again and seemed amused at first...until that first ass came on the screen. Then I watched her in FULL PANIC as she began smashing the keyboard trying to get it off the screen as a small crowd gathered to watch and she had a look of HORRIFIED SHAME on her face as the video gets nastier and nastier.

Anyway, here it is on Metacafe if you missed it the first time. I'll upload it to Youtube again soon!
