there are two issues. addiction and physiological dependency.  addiction for the most part is a an overwhelming psychological desire for something.
physiological dependency is where brain chemistry changes to accommodate the chemical and can no longer function properly without it.

You are forgetting an important aspect of this: frequency and duration of use. Smoker may have smoked all day, for years before trying to quit. Personally, I never got hooked on nicotine, even after smoking in weekends for years. Never smoke now.

I did plenty of that a very long time ago before I really knew what meth was.  This was like 20 years ago.  I never got addicted but my drug fiend buddy couldn't go without it.  He went to prison and I moved on.  I guess it depends on the person.

I never did anything that I couldn't just quit and I have done a lot of different drugs.  Nicotine is by far the worst IMO.

how do you define addiction, because i pretty sure you are wrong again chachi. So you are basing addiction on the speed in which it creates its effect, peculiar definition.
