Seated Hammer Strength Incline Presses

Do you feel this a great exercise for upper pecs? I talked to some guys that said they feel the movement too strongly in their triceps.

definatly a good alternative to alternate into your workout. if tris are taking over most likely they are holding the handles to close

^^Yes, and one could also try flaring the elbows a bit as well as lowering the seat enough so that the press is started from higher up (closer to the clavicle).

Using similar form even on flat presses tortures the upper pec fibers.

I dont feel the icline hammer press on my upper pecs either.

I use hammer machines only for flat press.

nothing beats the strait bar or DBs. Move the incline up or down a little. The hammer restricks the motion to much. The more freedom the better.

It's a decent exercise if done properly - don't lock out - squeeze the contraction almost at the top of the rep - no need to bring it all the way back either - just enough so you can feel the pecs stretch.
