Lets not exclude the fact it was 2,000 years ago, people (believe it or not) did not know better or were actually dumber than they are now and wanted something to believe in. I totally believe there was a man named Jesus around that time who (generally, no miracles

), did a lot of what was written of him. But hundreds of years later stories turn into fairytales and miracles

I think the story was his father was a roman soldier.

I'm not so sure that people are any smarter today than they were back then. Sure, *we're* smarter, but what about the billions who are just as gullible?

Even accounting for churches that update their teachings to account for the times, the fact that people still believe the fairy tales is mind-blowing.

Very true, i guess i was getting at we have so much more information readliy available today, however people choose to ignore it and blindly believe whatever was told to them from their parents/outside influences.

Chruches update their teachings however there is such a strong push by them for the world to stay the same. Many human advancements seem to bring with it that it will be the end of society and it's not in God's teachings.

Why does what he said matter if we are happy or not? I'm sure plenty of people say you waste your time in the gym and what's the purpose but if it makes you happy that's what's important. Not other people.
