Both years were kind of similar.

In 2001, NOBODY thought that Jay could nearly win Mr Olympia....nobody. Jay was 8th in 2000, and then dominated the field in 2001 (well he didnt dominate Coleman but Jay won the prejudging) and beat very big names.


In 2009....nobody expected Jay would look they way he did....huge, ripped and with a much smaller waist than previous years. His arm and leg imbalances seemed corrected too (not perfect but very good)

I dont see how he could have been in that much better shape than he was this year but in 2001 he blew me away. I remember his ab and thigh blowing away Ronnie and now I think he has the worst ab and thigh.Dont know what changed? Hes obviouslly bigger. Any pictures from 2001 O? Especially ab and thigh

2009 268 lbs. If conditioning is THE same then in 8 years he added 9 lbs of muscle ...

ronnie of 2001 (although not at his best) is something and the old injured ronnie of 2007 is a totally different thing ::)

but in 2001 his quads were more symmetrical (right vs. left)..
