yea, it's actually a pretty common belief among many Christians, especially Evangelicals and the like. I've posted a history of how it got started and turned that way in the religious forum. These morons collect and actually give large sums of money to people in Israel specifically thinking of the "end times prophesies" Watched a documentary with some of these guys that basically boiled down to them going over with there collected monies to just give away for the progress of settlements, in their minds, supporting the return of Jesus by giving cash to the cause. I read some articles in Heeb Magazine a few years back that basically called out these same Christian idiots. Heeb Magazine is a Jewish publication.
If you're a Zionist Christian, that is a Christian that supports Israel and the original Zionist cause, you should know that up to the 1800's that was not common at all for any Christians. A small group of people set out to change that and influence Christianity in the late 1800's mainly through Evangelicals. They took these political goals and specifically merged them with the Evangelicals to form support for the creation of a Jewish State, Israel. It still stands today, you see the biggest support for Israel coming from the Evangelicals. This came about through manipulation, and was contrary to the Christian tradition before that time. They specifically mention in several instances from that period that Christianity had become "paganized" and useless to their purposes. They sought to change that and did for the most part. I know the reference of Christianity being paganized is strange, but that's actually how the early Zionists referenced Christianity at that time.
